Remind me again what Venezuela has lots of, oh that's right, OIL! More trumped up charges to steal another sovereign nations resources as in Iraq, Libya, Syria.

"While the Venezuelan people suffer, this cabal lines their pockets with drug money and the proceeds of their corruption," Barr said of Maduro and the others who were indicted.

and all of it under Trump's nose but with Vlad's blessings/benediction

Looks like Venezuela has moved up the regime change list. North Korea down one. Iran and Syria still one and two.

Yup....sooner or later he merely becomes the "strongman".

No-one on planet Earth-at least since 1776-has ever accused the Yanks of being subtle.

I have no doubt... Maduro is a criminal and everything else...

But there's a certain sad irony here...

Barr's Justice Department under Trump figures they can indict a (somewhat) president of a foreign country on criminal charges.

But the same Barr Justice Department says they are somehow barred from indicting an equally big U.S. president criminal on criminal charges....

So just how exactly did they figure that???

do as I say don't do as I do.... and that should do it

No but they invade other countries to prop up undemocratic dictatorships that are friendly to them.

Crimea invaded and stolen ..... Donbass province of Ukraine invaded.... Syria invaded/occupied and more could be listed

LOL, from the nation that brought the World Fentanyl.

Ukraine and Crimea next to Russia, both part of former SU with large part Russian population. Syria they are supporting the government and send military at the request of that government.

Now I am not saying they should be there and no questions can be asked, but these situations can not be compared with the US incursions into south American and Asian countries.

maybe it would be interesting to consider that, I say it again,  maybe, the South American or Asian countries asked/ requested help from the US, not that I agree with such incursions but anything and everything is worth a consideration, never saw any document indicating Syria requesting help from Russia, but, let's agree,  it's possible as for Crimea and Ukraine being neighbors with of Russia with a large part of Russian population that's not a reason to invade and steal, but since said population was living in Ukraine, thus Ukrainian population not Russians, same as US states of California, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, would it be be ok for Mexico to invade steal these states as they have a lot of South American population also called/identified with a pejorative name of "Mexicans" even if from different countries.... same could be said for the north states bordering Canada and don't forget Alaska that was part of Russia or Soviet Union who sold it to the US, ( The Alaska Purchase (Russian: Продажа Аляски, tr. Prodazha Alyaski, Sale of Alaska) was the United States' acquisition of Alaska from the Russian Empire. Alaska was formally transferred to the United States on October 18, 1867, through a treaty ratified by the United States Senate and signed by President Andrew Johnson)  would you agree if Vlad decided to invade because some of the actual Alaska residents still have Russian blood.... when I made the comment the countries/territories taken by Russia I was not looking for an history/geography dissertation... let's keep it there and agree to disagree

If you don't want a dissertation then don't give it, I gave a short to the point post, but still you seem to have missed the 'possibly not ok' part.

Panama, Syria, Iraq and many others did not ask the US.

How many troops will it take to 'arrest' Maduro? More or less troops than it took for the Panamanian strongman Noriega?

At the moment Russia is busy looting Venezuela's gold mining. Whilst Maduro and his highly corrupt regime and family loot the oil revenues.

And neither country tolerates democracy, free speech or human rights.

Ain't socialism just grand!

So after lying about all the countries they've attacked in the past, they're telling the truth now?

And yes socialism is grand, it bailed out the bankers and is presently bailing out the world over the virus!

Ain't capitalism a complete and utter failure!
