Does anyone have any information on what to do, when all of the borders are closed and I will need to do a border run to obtain a Education Visa? I will be starting school this June at Chiang Mai University for a Bachelor Degree. I will need to do a border run in May to obtain my Education Visa. Does anyone know if they have some type of rule to cover my situation. Or will the immigration start handling Education Visa until the borders open up again? I am in Chiang Mai on a Education Visa for language now. Advice needed. Thank you.

If you are already on a non-ed visa you may be able to apply for an extension for attending a University without getting a new non-ed visa. You current extension for attending a language school would have to be canceled on the day you apply for the new extension.

It will depend upon how cooperative Chiang Mai immigration are. Best to ask the university to check with immigration about it.

I understand that, under some circumstances, you can apply for a non immigrant entry to study a degree course at university without leaving the country. What are the conditions under which this can be done?
