I'm surprised the IOs are prepared to work under these conditions. Not long ago there was a shortage of IOs and long lines arriving at Swampy. Apparently this was due to officers not being willing to work there.

We have seen more times than not,

In fact I have come to the conclusion that they actually enjoy seeing us get upset.

It brings them great pleasure, and certainly gives them something to talk about.

I have learned over the years to best remedy is to stay silent in their presence, 

so at least they not get that enjoyment, and photograph all the issue I have with the service they fail to provide. Post it where it will be helpful for others to avoid the same and move on.

For sure I don't want to be brainwashed that this is the norm, and it's us that is out of line.

Though I don't expect them or anyone to comply to my form of thinking, as it is my own, and I must own it as it is. That still doesn't have to stop me from passing on the proof of how I the situation transpired, no differently than all these dash cams are doing now or all the cctv posted everywhere. Just documenting what's really going on all around us. When the official want to highlight their point that is the first place they go too.

So everything is closed now even the hotels except immigration.

For as long as their are profits to be made, then i do not think that this will end. What they could do however, is set an online application for extensions. That way profits keep flowing in, and people keep safe.

Which Immigration office are you using? 

all he is saving me is a trip to the Immigration office - my 12 month extension is all legal no backhanders required and I will do all the paperwork myself - all he has to do is process it through the IO office - nothing else required

 

Same for 90 day report - just saving me a trip to IO office

I have said it so many times just authorise a blanket 1 months extension at a time from the previous date!!!. Easy to check up when leaving the Country from the previous stamp in!! Not rocket science but for 'neanderthal' numb nuts it would be too easy..... ????????????????????????????????

I think you need to replace 'easy' with 'unprofitable'

It is not just the risk of catching the virus in a very crowded immigration office

many people have some distance to travel to reach their nearest office exposing them to public transport and crowded streets

The hazards are just to great to warrant the position being taken my the government

Arrived at 2.45pm on motorbike, directed to 90day drive through. One car at serving hatch, one car behind. Immigration officer who was outside booth told me do not wait in the sun, told me to wait along side next car in the shade. Waited my turn and was finished in 6 mins.. ????

Not directly related but it seems the majority are overly focused on how many total " cases"  there are. Does anyone know if this is cumulative or adjusted as people become well. What defines a "case" and when does someone become well ? Just wunnerin....

Today, so everyone knows, the drive-thru for 90-day reporting is open! You can use it as long as you aren’t late. Just get in line with your passport and TM-47. Anything changes, I’ll update this post.

Yes, motorcyclist can use. 
You still need TM-47. Filled out at window if you don’t have it. Be a pal. Fill it out before. 
CN be done on first time, but you cannot be into overstay/late report.

So why don't we need this TM47 in Chiang Rai, same division presumably, same rules.

I'd suggest they announce an overstay amnesty just not fine over-stayers for 2-3 months after the travel restrictions are over.
Instead of making people travel to immigration and risk their health now.

You don't need anything only your passport, you should have a paper inside with expiry date to report from when you last reported there is a barcode on it all they do is read the barcode and that's it.

I am normally in and out in 5 -10 minutes.

Even better now i've started doing it online with my phone.

I had to go to CW on 16 March for a 90 day and it was nose to tail and SRO in every department. Then I had go to Samut Prakan the next day on other business and it was the same thing. I'm glad they are now beginning to practice a little distancing but there is still no excuse for not simply extending all visas and reports until after this emergency is over.

Apart from the application form and the old slip, what "this document and that document" are needed for a normal 90-day report?

Immigration should be shut down until the china/Xi virus is over and done with! No over stays, no fines nothing. They should say, see you when it is over with!! We will post when to return! Enough of the BS!
