English Lessons For Thai Gf - Where?

Featured Replies

My Thai girlfriend and I both speak Thai. Now she wants to travel with me to English speaking countries, but she knows almost no English, and I don't have time to tutor her. AUA told us that she didn't even qualify for their pre-level beginner classes. Where can she/should she go in Bangkok to study English as a true beginner? Your suggestions would be appreciated!

Where did she learn Thai?

In Tak.

Irony went awry alas...... :o

Star by getting her some english-langauge karaoke VCD/DVD's (love songs springs to mind as the preferred type) and a thai/english dictionary. Then get on with your search... :o

If she is needing very basic lessons, I would say to get a Farang teacher who can speak Thai. She wouldn't be embarrassed about asking "silly" questions.

They could explain some things in Thai, which is easier for most students to start with, in my experience.

Ask around the big schools such as ECC, and check on the teacher yourself, as there are some useless ones, as well as some excellent ones.

I got a guy called George from Siam Square to teach an ex. He was pretty good.

Burmese.
