Mr Kotchaporn Sangjan, 25, from Roi Et, who is a ladyboy, was summoned by Patong police to explain a post he had shared on his personal Facebook account suggesting the handout was merely insignificant small change. “The 5,000 baht handout has already been wired to my account. Popular Post yellowboat
So being dismissive is a crime now? Interesting how an army occupation and free speech just do not go together. "After learning the post had been so negatively received and drew so much criticism Mr Kotchaporn deleted it and stated he had not intentionally meant to cause any damage to the Thai government." Pretty fragile government. Think the Thai people deserve a stronger one. Edited April 11, 2020 by yellowboat 10

Is anyone else doing the maths here ? I come out with an incredible death toll of 0.000000471% per day. This is becoming really sad, not so much the virus but the manipulation of the public to a point of complete debilitation ???? 7

First Thailand has a population of 69 mil and secondly the corona virus numbers are way more than what they are showing. They are testing around 500 a day with 10% infected. The USA is testing 10s of thousands a day. All countries are supposed to show real data but if you don’t have the test kits than you can’t test. 2

In the context "person" would not have been offensive. Edited April 11, 2020 by Oxx

When was the last time you saw the word person in a newspaper headline? My old chief sub would have had your guts for garters! Somehow, "Police warning for person who derided B5,000 government handout" doesn't have quite the same ring (or any, er, ring at all, as it's explicitly gender-neutral). The pronoun he would presumably only not be offensive if the ladyboy in question identified as male. And vice versa, of course. Unfortunately, we are not told which way he/she/they swing(s). Possibly both, lucky beast. Oh, and Just for the record. . . I am told on good authority (don't ask!) that the pronoun for a ladyboy is shim. Ain't linguistics lovely!
