Pattaya: Thais and foreigners in ladyboy "catwalk" party busted by police

Naew Na reported that a large contingent of Nong Prue police were joined by officers from immigration, the tourist police and international crime forces in busting a party held in a luxury house in Moo 5 in contravention of the emergency decree. 

 

There were 27 Thais, four Chinese and one Pakistani - the media said they were mostly ladyboys. 

 

They were caught in the act of having a "catwalk party" using the foreign app KWAI.

 

They were live streaming themselves. 

 

After having their temperatures taken were all booked for illegal congregation as police tried to find other evidence.

I just had to google - 'what's a catwalk party?' and 'what's Kwai?' - I'm getting old! So, they took turns walking in front of each other and videoed themselves on the app. Got it. Sounds more fun than the quiet night in I had last night!

Yes, another sad effect of this blasted virus unfortunately. Normally these lads would be out kicking a footy around, or down the pub watching the Prem on the big screen. Now reduced to holding ladyboy catwalk parties at home, whatever they are. Very worrying. I only hope this type of behaviour does not spread ...

Unless of course they got the whole thing wrong and it was just a bunch of guys dressed as women walking thier cats around like Crufts for cats......Nah!

They did not just have a party. They earned money streaming it and maybe selling some fashion items. They assembled for several weeks from 8 or 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.

Not sure, but I would certainly agree that the 32 people reported is excessive.
