I wanted to post something funny.

Then I realised I'm not funny at all, and decided against it.

So this is not a post :

It's an emoticon and I don't know what it means.

If you think this is not funny, I told you so!

1. dont use emoticons unless its very obvious what you are trying to say, like the smiley ones. I often see the emoticans such as rollseyes and I am not sure what you are trying to say. Personally, I think emoticons are stupid. But whatever.

2. use google and the search function before posting

3. dont make your signature something dumb like your screenname. Do you really need to sign every post Naka when your name is Naka on here? Doesnt make much sense.

4. Read the entire thread and respond to comments made in the thread instead of just making a one liner to the original post that has probably already been stated.

5. if you dont have something interesting or funny to say, dont bother posting because it clutters the board.

Blocking the directory "http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/style_emoticons/" will ensure you never see them.

Thaivisa has 80,100+ pages indexed in Google, 463,000 in Yahoo/Altavista, and thousand of others among the rest of the search engines and directories. The chances that someone did ask Google, or another search engine a Thai related question and got directed here are very high.

You really need to lay off the caffeine and grow a thicker skin if this is really an issue.

Good point but some of the most memorable quotes over the years have come from well delivered one-liners so it'd be a shame to lose them.

It's pretty subjective what is interesting or funny when you get such a large group of people. If you ask nicely in the tech forum, we'd be happy to show you how to set up your own password protected forum where you can be assured that everything that gets posted meets your standards of humour and academic excellence.
