April 15, 20205 yr Popular Post It's getting that bad around here I may have to break something so I can go down the workshop and fix something! Sleeping in till 5am makes the day a bit shorter but h@ll it's just after 10am and I am thinking about making another coffee. That will be the 3rd one for the day! The only job for this day is to bring the 47" LED TV downstairs, hack 4cm of the rear of the stand and mount it in the TV cradle hanging from the rafters. Will take less than an hour. And I rarely watch TV. She who watches TV can wire it up. Now switch on the expresso machine and decide what kind of coffee I will have........
April 15, 20205 yr Popular Post 1. Excercise - my wife has got me doing an aerobics regime everyday and I'm really getting into the endorphind. 9better than booze) 2. Read - i downloaded The Wind in the Willows. 3. learn a new language via You Tube - i can have a bisic conversation with my son in Spanish. 4. board games - scrabble is keeping my kid off his bloody telephone for a couple of hours a day. 5. a few hours of naughties with the good lady - massage etc. 6. learn to cook something new. It's what you make of a situation. Drastic measures I guess, since theyve gone and banned booze.

I think that there are probably many things you can do if you think outside the box. How about giving her a long massage, or visa versa every day? Do you have a digital camera- take photos and create a digital album; try cooking exotic dishes with recipes off the internet; take up gardening etc etc.

April 16, 20205 yr Out on the basketball court this morning, but at 70+ half-hour is all I can manage. Doesn't put much of a dent in the day though so I sit here happily chatting/arguing with you guys. ????
April 16, 20205 yr We've had a ferocious storm that flattened all the salahs in the rice paddies, took the roof off our car port, and several tiles went flying from the house roof, two power outages, one lasting 24 hours. I was desperate worrying that my beer would get warm. Luckily the kitchen is mainly gas and the shower too, so we are keeping clean and well fed. 7 cases of lubrication if the ban extends beyond today.

Do that digital camera thing too! I have half a dozen external drives filled with video and stills. Not exotic but I made Cinnamon scrolls yesterday...which didn't turn out quite right...but all got eaten! Making more today. Kerry dropped off my curing salt #1 yesterday so there is some bacon makin' coming up. Just need to get some belly pork at Makro for that. Cooker/Smoker is up and ready to go.
