Various Cities For Single Entry Tv Around Se Asia

Featured Replies

Hi all. I'm planning a year through SE Asia (the bulk in Tahiland) and like the rest of you long term tourists I will be making tourist visa runs every 90 days(60+30ext). At this point it appears that an onward ticket will be required to obtain the initial TV from los angeles. Please notice, i said onward (Penang, Vientienne, Hanoi, etc). As far as the embassy is concerned, it's just an onward ticket, correct? It does not have to be a return home flight, i'm assuming? Assuming i get a TV this way, will any airline stand in the way with a "one-way" flight from USA accompanied by an onward ticket to another city outside of Thailand?

Also, I keep hearing Penang, but having been to Malaysia many times, what other cities are TV's flowing from and with what restrictions? i.e. Hanoi requires onward ticket leaving thailand to get a TV.

This is a great forum. My opinion is that a sticky topic concerning updated status/experiences obtaining tourist visas at various cities around SE Asia would be extremely useful considering the new rules.

From reports the only no go would be Rangoon and to a lesser extent Phnom Penh.
