Drug raids net five suspects, nearly 10k meth pills, 300g of ice

PHUKET:-- Four men and one woman have been arrested in a series of raids that resulted with police seizing 9,243 pills of methamphetamine (ya bah), 311.77 grammes of crystal meth (ya ice) and one unregistered revolver.

Prayut appeals to the 20 richest Thais for help

In a nationally televised speech, Prayut calls on the 20 richest people in Thailand to help the government in its fight against Covid-19.

 

In a special 10-minute speech broadcast on national TV at 6pm on Friday (April 17), Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha called on Thailand’s 20 richest people to step up and help the government in its fight against the Covid-19 outbreak.

Six crewmen rescued from sea after trawler sinks

The last two members of a fishing boat that sank off Chumphon province on Wednesday (April 15) were plucked from the sea and rushed to hospital on Friday (April 17), bringing a successful end to the rescue mission.
