The Department of Disease Control has warned of the risk of Covid-19 being transmitted through the use of bags.

Dr Sophon Iamsirithaworn, director of the Department of General Communicable Disease, was reacting to a news report about a woman who got infected by touching bags despite being in self-quarantine in her house for three weeks.

“Therefore, we recommend that all citizens wash their hands regularly after handling items,” he said. “Most importantly, make it a habit all the time.”

He added that doctors will provide treatment for Covid-19 patients who have recovered and have negative results for another 14 days to make sure that they will not spread the virus after returning home.

"Also, they must wear a face mask for one month to gain confidence among people,” he added.

  • They forgot to mention that after touching something infected you then have to  introduce it into your body  normally by nose, eyes or mouth.

  • Nice to see Thailand leading the charge    washing hands has been the most understood agreed global critical advice for most of 3 months now way beyond any advantage of wearing a facemask

I think we've all got that message thank you.

how on earth did they conclude this ?(not saying it's not possible). in order to contract from touching something - someone infected would have had to touch the item first ............ so who was that person ????????

So many lies by the mainstream media. I wish everyone would wake up to the truth.

No sheit.

Didn't we know this for 3 months already?

I think it stays that long on metal surfaces, less hours on paper, plastic or fabric.

I wash my hand all the time and carry hand sanitizer when I go out. I even wear a mask when I throw the trash.

Hope I'll be safe. Have touched quite a few old bags on nights out in my time here!

The left or right one?

This is all well and good, but the official numbers of infections tell us that we're more likely to win the lottery than touch a bag that's been touched by an infected person.

Who knows, it could be any number of people involved in packing the bag and delivering

it. The perp may well have been wearing gloves which only partially protects the wearer,

but is still a way of spreading the virus.

All in all it is a good message to treat everything that comes into your home as contaminated

and wash your hands immediately after handling such items.

...which is?

Oh let me guess: a 5G-company in Woohan has experimented with bacterial warfare and then spread the virus by Chemtrails, so the pedophiliac canibals from the NWO and Iluminati can take over America...right?

It is good practice to accept a squirt of hand cleaner when entering a shop/mall on entering even if you have just come from home with clean hands. Means that you will not spread YOUR germs onto any food items you may touch (and put down) when checking content, prices etc. Also will sterilise the handles of the shopping basket/trolley.

Yeah and don't forget about those foods packed into the case then transported, unpacked in the stores put on shelves and then touched by the cashier as well. Even food cart people put the food into a plastic bag and then into a carry plastic bag.

BTW. USA has now basically proven the virus came from the Wuhan lab. So I wonder how the world is going to love the Chinese now? They should be charged in international court and then shunned left with the entire world sanctioning them. And to think this virus will now never go away is atrocious.

Such a load of nonsense. No way she got infected by her bag. She broke her quaranteen and lied about it. Occams razor.....

Probably less safe because they are handled by the delivery guy that could act as a super spreader.

Please do your proper research before posting. Or are you one of the many sheep? No wonder humanity as we know it is in danger.

Depends on the metal as well. Seen one report only 4 hours on copper. Metal in bright sunlight may get hot enough here to start affecting it. eg surface of your car in the sun will probably kill it.

Finally the truth is out (tongue in cheek). The world's number one Illuminati (Trump) along with his partner in crime (Xi) decided that the only way for him to get re-elected was to create world wide havoc via the virus. I am sure this makes sense to some!

None of that rubbish you mentioned is necessary.  All you need is a sprinkle of feminism, half a tea party spoon of ideological subversion, race mix, and then place in the oven of cultural marxism for 33 minutes.  The Romans called it "bread and circuses" i call it America.

We've been holed up since they closed the schools in mid March and will remain so until the situation is clear and transparent. Probably until September.

If anybody ever needed an answer to "why live in a house and not a condo"..
