Have you ever seen (TPD) outside when raining water? TPD = Traffic Police Division.

Mean even one cop don't want to get wet! They don't even want wet "coffee" money!

I can see in my eyes when thai cop hold Umbrella to help farang make hes urine test!

Well, it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good, and any reduction in the road toll figures is extremely welcome.

However.

The acid test will be “do the figures go up again after the panic is passed?”

In a country where the police barely have a living wage, how do you expect

they to be the same quality as police in say the UK, Australia, or Canada?

I know many police men and women in Thailand and they mostly

do the best they can, and train themselves to advance up the ranks, where

their pay is a bit better.

Geezer

The lock down has saved countless lives!

Alas, I fear that Thailand is In danger of losing their number one status as helmetless rider and mounting baby on front of motor scooter fatalities on the planet designation. Oh well, at least we still have horrendous air pollution to look forward to as the "new" normal. ????

52 people die this year from a virus and the entire nation cowers in fear and demands their civil liberties be removed.

4,578 people die since Jan 1 on the roads and nobody blinks.

That's my new definition of insanity.
