Daily News reported that a 21 year old "win" rider - motorcycle taxi - has been arrested by Nang Lerng district police in Bangkok after he stole cash and property worth 4,700 baht from a New Zealander.

Thirty year old Andrew J. had been on his way back to his address from Siam BTS on Sunday on his bicycle.

Jumphon Jaengwansuk spotted the target of his thieving intentions in the tourist's front basket.

He gained the trust of the visitor by calling out a friendly greeting of "Where you come from? (sic)

Mr J replied "New Zealand" and was unaware that the Thai was then following him from the Lan Luang Post Office.

He grabbed a bag containing 1,700 baht in cash and a 3,000 baht power bank and disappeared.

CCTV examination soon led to a warrant and the 'win's" arrest and a charge of snatch theft at night using a conveyance.

A Honda motorcycle, #2 jacket and helmet were taken into evidence.
