I thought I would start a thread about hiking and trekking in Thailand, and also neighbouring countries if anyone have experience, and hopefully others can share their experiences, favourite routes, places to stay overnight, and some hidden gems along the way. Our first hike will be Phu Kradueng National Park. It looks like a good place to start with a proper mountain hike and overnight stay. The main climb is around 5.5–6 km up to the plateau, where you can camp or stay overnight, then spend more time exploring waterfalls, pine forest and viewpoints before walking back down. I am interested in places where the journey itself is part of the experience, not only driving to a viewpoint and doing a short walk.
