Regarding the hot weather debate: in the UK we definitely have less incidence of respiratory tract infections in the summer, so much so that there is a flu season.  Perhaps it's just that people behave differently in the summer, opening the windows and getting out and about.

 

I believe covid 19 in Thailand started much earlier than originally thought, but it's always going to rely on anecdotal evidence which is notoriously unreliable.  There definitely was a particularly nasty bug doing the rounds in Bangkok at that time.

they are now looking at samples from July and August ???.

Wrong. The first French patient is December 27, after Christmas.

 

Also note, that was a single sample left around for months the tested with as yet unreliable test kits. South Korea has now said all of their presumed 're-infections' were likely bad false positive tests.

Here's what probably happened.

 

The woman was playing with the virus in the lab. It leaked.

 

In good faith, she announced the authorities. Most likely, they did not take it seriously at the time.

 

This took place in October.

 

As time passed, more and more cases of infections popped up. So the CCP quickly rewrote the narrative. The virus could have not escaped from the lab. Another plausible reason had to be found.

 

Animal to human transmission...wet market...you know the rest of the story.

 

Even the international scientists agreed. It could have not been genetically modified.

 

So it was indeed animal to human transmission.

 

They were right, it's just it did not come from a cooked bat. It came from a lab tube, where she probably tested some pangolin strains as well, mix them together, see what happens.

Interesting theory.  Adding to the anecdotal evidence is me own self.  I arrived in Pattaya mid January.  A week in I came down with something.  It hit in the middle of the night.  I had a really bad sore throat and fever.  Two days it was bad and then it dragged on for about a week before I felt OK again.  No idea.  Covid?  Or some ordinary virus?  Who knows.

for many its nothing 
for some more serious complications but thats the same as the flu and many other illnesses we all react differently.

I think we need a bloody good antibody test this current testing model its just a waste eventually its number counting.
