I'd be interested to know what you consider to be "international standards". Many of my specialist docs at public hospitals have trained overseas. Thailand is perhaps five years behind US medical care. That's a good thing, we aren't experimental. No burden of electronic charting, just patient care. Latest equipment. With the enormous Vietnamese diaspora, I bet it's much the same in Vietnam with Western-trained docs and specialists. I gave blood in Vietnam. The hospital was not all sparkly clean but the service was kind and professional. In Thai hospitals, the iCandy is outstanding. I would hope to find it the same in V-N.
