I used to drive to Buriram monthly. There were 19 sets of traffic lights on the 331/304.  I averaged red lights 14 times each trip as the police set the lights to benefit the retailers by having a captive audience of up to 100 cars whilst two motor bikes and a donkey crossed from the minor road.

It's the same driving down Pattaya Klang - you can hit four red lights in three hundred metres.

      Er... this is one of the good things about the UK imho. Haven't you noticed how building more roads just attracts more traffic but never solves the problem? You just end up with a ruined environment.
