Not one but THREE Nigerians stranded at Suvarnabhumi for months

The authorities at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport have admitted that three Nigerians have been hunkering down in departures for two months.

Previously a Facebook post suggested there was one.

The three men arrived on two flights in March but while they were in transit their destination countries closed their borders and seeing as they had no Thai visas they were left stranded at the airport.

Two arrived on Emirates on March 21st and were headed for Laos on Lao Airways.

The other arrived on Ethihad on March 24th and was due to fly to Myanmar.

Thai media reported that Thailand's region two immigration has been working with the Nigerian embassy and the airlines to provide for the men.

If looks as though their ordeal may come to an end in June 4th when they could travel back to the UAE.

Well, must be better than Nigeria.

  • Why would you go to another country to sell drugs in a lockdown?   They pay their money up front to the Nigerian drug gang chief who pays for their flight. Then they have to pay that money o

Derogatory remark removed.

Oh Dear, What can the Matter Be. Three Old ...... Stuck in the Lavatory................ they seem happy enough.

How many others are stuck in Transit...reminds me of the Tom Hanks movie "The Terminal" where he is stuck in limbo.......

At least 1 man was not alone then. Good to have company

Unless they've got plenty of money then they should consider themselves lucky to be there, I doubt they're complaining too much.

Well, must be better than Nigeria.

There's going to be a lot more people getting stuck in transit and in foreign countries with expired or unusable passports if this goes on much longer. Going be bad luck for those stuck in countries without embassies able to issue passports locally.
Ridiculous that the Thais couldn't issue them with a temporary visa.

Why would you go to another country to sell drugs in a lockdown?

They pay their money up front to the Nigerian drug gang chief who pays for their flight. Then they have to pay that money off from drug sales.

So they don't have any money. And the leader of the drugs gang is not helping them.

Got it all sorted out in your little pea brain, eh?

Staying in transit keeps them out of mischief. What do these guys do in Myanmar and in Laos?

Why helmet inside airport ?

Many people don't ware it outside on motobike, but this police do it inside ?

Airport must be open 24 hrs seems strange to me that anyone is allowed to stay long periods at the airport....

Some ride those Segway scooters. They put on helmets when they ride those.

Must you present an airline ticket to buy alcohol there? Or can you buy without a ticket?

They are muslims.

That must be seriously boring for them, but nice to see airport security feeding them.  And at least another two weeks stuck there.  It's bad enough in lockdown at home.

Islam does not ban alcohol, but drunkenness.????
As for food, in this period of Ramadan, they must wait until the end of the day to be able to eat instant noodles made from pork sauce.????

Probably didn't want them going missing in Thailand, as they were in transit!

Indeed, there's a distinct possibility these guys don't want to go home.

Obviously they were not aware that they have to report to you and get your permission.
