  • Sorry, this sounds like an awful euphemism for something else.

What on earth are you on about? Too much chemicals in meat? 99% of all veg sold here has been sprayed, and sprayed many times with chemicals. So that makes your comment crazy.

And you don't even need to take it out of the wrapping, because it tastes the same ????

Nothing as tasty as Kangaroo rissoles made fro the tail meat.

For a moment, I thought you wrote "rsoles" & not "rissoles"...

Phew.....!!

Can you honestly see all those smoky fried food stalls every 20 feet switching to meat free sausages and burgers ?  I mean, can you even deep fry a veggie block 10 times a day

I do egg plant with diced veggies, spices and cheese wrapped in foil

Beats any beef burger out there!

I'm fully for this. Too much chemicals in meat today.

How many chemicals do you think it takes to turn vegetable into something that looks & tastes like meat?

For the life of me I have never been able to understand why anyone would try to produce a food that was trying to look like something else and not rely on its own benefits. Scam comes to mind.

Spare a thought for us animals who are shot full of antibiotics and later cruelly murdered. We do not need to eat animals to survive.

I have personally been shot full of antibiotics and years later still suffer the side effects. Plus I sure am fed up with being seen as lunch by that Coyote.

I assume that the macro intention would to replace the grazing areas currently used by the livestock with crops? I have read that the footprint required to rear livestock could, if repurposed to crops, feed many more people than the livestock could feed.

You actually need the livestock to roam free and keep the topsoil fertile.

But in here they'll just pump the dead topsoil full of "vitamins" and that's what you'll eat. Hydrophonics would work better since the soil is dead anyway.

Vegetarians want to eat fake meat.

They know they are missing out on something.

How much salt is in this fake meat? I have seen veggie burgers with

3 times as much salt as what is on a real meat hamburger. I will stick

with eating real meat and real food, no fake stuff for me.

Geezer

I'm getting contradictory messages  like on the one hand people are encouraging me to adopt a carnivore diet, on the other people are encouraging me to go vegan. Make up your minds people please. Personally, I tend to go with 2 standards, the cruelty invoved in preparation, and the emotional intelligence of the animal involved.

Yeah but politicians are so hard to find at the butchers these days.

And some will even tell you plants have feelings too.

True.

I have eaten several of these products.  Some do taste decent same as beef.

But, on the products I have tried the overall fat content and other potentially negative components are about the same compared to beef.

The one thing most vegan meats have are very low cholesterol.
