Stupid measures, you can't eat because you have to wear a mask, but it's ok in a restaurant, thai logic again

I'm sick of all this nonsense, utterly pathetic. Cinemas here are always empty anyway, will now be lucky to get one man and his dog to sit in the pitch black for 2 hours.

God forbid people can do something without shovelling food in their faces.

I mean wake up people and see what's wrong here!  Stop eating all the time.

People warned against eating, drinking in theatres

By The Nation

Eating or drinking in theatres is strictly banned to prevent the spread of Covid-19, Department of Health director-general Dr Panpimol Wipulakorn said on Friday (May 29).

She said the department has instructed theatre operators to clean the movie hall after the film ends and arrange seats to maintain social distancing because each show lasts up to three hours.

“A maximum of two people can sit next to each other to maintain social distancing,” she said.

“The operators must check the temperature in the theatre to meet the standards although every theatre has a ventilation system.”

She added that people are banned from eating or drinking in theatres because they will have to take off their face mask while doing so, which increases infection risk.

“If operators want to sell foods and beverages, they must set up partitions as done by restaurants,” she added.

But you are allowed to eat and drink (non alcoholic beverages) in a restaurant, which obviously entails the removal of said mask !

I, for one, cannot see any difference whatsoever !

Again, bizarre !

Nuts

I am always willing to support sensible measures  but here in Thailand, things are seriously frogged up!

You can squeeze into market through one eye of a needle, but you are not allowed on a beach, where people usually keep a distance to each other, quiet naturally!

Between strangers, that is!

You can be in an elevator with 8 people at a time, but you can not eat popcorn in a cinema, because you have to take your mask off ffor that...although you will be seated miles apart from the next person!

You can only see your girlfriend of husband through a plastic shield at a restaurant, no matter that you go home and have sex afterwards!

Beaches are closed. massages will open (unless they get touchy touchy in your face)...

Utter BS!

So better to download and watch at home with a beer.
