Phuket Governor Pakkapong Thaweepat said that the his administration has sought approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand to reopen Phuket International Airport to domestic flights, and will resume maritime services at 24 of the island’s piers, beginning Monday. Sarasin Bridge, the land gateway to Phuket Island at Tha Chatchai, will also be reopened for access to and from the island. Photo: PR Phuket PHUKET: The Phuket Governor has issued an order relaxing the entry and exit of people arriving on and leaving the island, effective from midnight tonight. The order, dated and signed by Governor Phakaphong Tavipatana today, is effective from June 1 onwards, “unless otherwise ordered”.
