Wife is mystified: Ex shot her new husband in Bangkok traffic after "amicable" divorce

A Thai wife has told the media that she is mystified by the actions of her former husband who shot her new man while they were travelling in a car in Bangkok traffic.

The suspect in the shooting has told police that he will pop in and give himself up in a couple of days. The wife says she wants the case to go to the full extent of the law.

Thanarat,36, was in Bangkok with her new husband Pongsithirat and her 11 year old child. They had met up with her former husband Paratthakorn, 34, at Sri Pathum University to talk about the eleven year old's education.

They parted in separate cars as Pongsithirat drove them back to a room in Pahonyothin Soi 45.

At a U-turn by the Forestry Department her former husband ran out of his black Ford and fired multiple times at them.

Her new husband was hit though she and her daughter were unscathed.

She said that she had no idea why her ex would do this. Their divorce had been amicable and there was no jealousy involved; they were merely contacting each other to sort out her daughter's education and there had been no bad words.

She said there was no truth to press speculation that the two men in her life were close friends and that her new husband had been asked by her ex to look after her while he was in prison.

She wants the case prosecuted fully, she told Bang Khen police while giving further yesterday after the shooting on Saturday.

Meanwhile, MCOT reported that police have been told by the suspect that he will surrender to their custody in one or two days.

Yes, you've got to laugh at that "pop in and give himself up in a couple of days" part, invented presumably, and ironically by "Webfact", as that additional dig was not in the original MCOT report.

"The perpetrator will request to surrender to the Bang Khen police officers within 1-2 today" was what was actually reported.

Where was that reported?

"police have been told by the suspect that he will surrender to their custody in one or two days."

That's nice of him, we all like a considerate murderer don't we? would he mind bringing the weapon please?  and please don't clean it. We know you would of told us if you were on drugs or drinking so don't you fret about any tests that might have been done old chap.

We promise not to keep you long, don't want to inconvenience you and we'll provide snacks and tea as it must have been such a trauma for you.

Are there more countries on the world with such a laughable policeforce?

And where did you read he murdered anyone? Not on this thread.

Thai media says he went to Jail and told the new husband (his best friend) to take care of his wife when he was banged up.

I guess he took too much care. Lol
