Naew Na reported that a Filipino teacher at a well known Nonthaburi school had hanged himself from the frame of an air-conditioning compressor unit on the fourth floor balcony of an eight story apartment building in Soi Nonthaburi 6 in the Suan Yai area.

Police and Poh Teck Tung foundation staff found the victim - Melvin C., 26 - standing attached to an electrical cable that had been cut from an extension cord in the room.

On the bed in the room was a letter written in English consisting of many pages and other documents.

The manager of the apartment said that a lady boy had arrived earlier asking if they had seen Melvin. After being told that he had not been seen the lady boy went up then came down to say that he had died.

The ladyboy then disappeared.

Police said they had been taking pictures and had been gathering evidence. They were studying CCTV and were having the letter translated and examined to make sure it was in the victim's handwriting.

They also want to speak to the lady boy who found the body.

The body was handed over to Poh Teck Tung for transport to an autopsy.

The victim's facebook page indicated that he had been an English teacher at the Nonthaburi project of Chula Unisearch, Chulalongkorn University since May of last year. Formerly he had worked at Satri Angthong in Samut Sakhon.

Many people, including devastated former students, left messages online. One said:

"Why? You were full of happiness and you were full of dreams".
