Is my gym bs’ing me?

Featured Replies

My gym tells me there is still a 1 hour limit on using the gym as per government mandate.  I know this was a mandate before June 1, but I was under the impression that this was lifted in phase 3.  I know all other gyms I have friends at have mo time limit on the workout now.  Does anyone know the official position here?

I was told that the Centara Sportsclub has a timelimit of two hours. Not sure if and how this is enforced.

hi

it's 2 hours but your gym can reduce the time available to

everyone to facilitate the social distancing, just be patient

i am sure the rules should be relaxed in july.

''At a briefing on Saturday, Pol Capt Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, a spokesman for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), said its communicable disease-control committee had eased restrictions on 10 business groups. The businesses allowed to reopen are:

  • Fitness centres outside malls, such as yoga studios, may reopen. Each person can exercise for no more than two hours at a time.
  • .....

Mr Pongsakorn said the operators of all businesses and facilities must adhere to disease-control measures and social distancing.''

Ok, 2 hours I understand.  My gym said government mandate 1 hour now.  Now I know I can argue with them.  Thank you

No such thing at my gym in Udon, It's a 4 story structure so things were pretty spread out as is was.

I go in the morning after dropping my son at school, and it's mostly empty anyways.
