BANGKOK (NNT) - Six zoos under the Zoological Park Organization’s control were overwhelmed today by visiting family members of all ages. Though every zoo has strict regulations that visitors must follow, the daily limit of 2,000 visitors has lately been fully booked.

Thousands of tourists have been visiting KhaoKheow Open Zoo in Chonburi province each day.

The zoo office only designated one entrance in order to properly screen all visitors. The visitors must all undergo screening, check-in via Thaichana QR code, wash their hands, have their body temperature taken, and practice social distancing at every attraction. In-door activities are being avoided.

Mr. Atthaporn Sriheran, of KhaoKheow Open Zoo stressed that visitors must make a reservation before visiting, otherwise, they will be disappointed because the zoo can only welcome 2,000 visitors daily as a maximum number. And there are already over 20,000 reservations.

Another zoo is the Khon Kaen zoo in Khao Suan Kwang district. Families that mostly live in the region have been visiting the zoo since the first day of its reopening last week. Every car entering the zoo must be sanitized. The visitors must also follow all the safety measures. All visitors must make a reservation before coming, the same as at all other zoos. Most of the visitors have been children with their parents as it is the last opportunity before the opening of the school semester.

Meanwhile, National Parks will open on 1st of July and one of them has already displayed its regenerated nature. Thung Salang Luang ทุ่งแสลงหลวง national park has revealed footage captured by action cameras installed widely in the forest, showing the wide range of animal species.

Would suggest that they coordinate with the educational authorities and get the kids back to school.

Just so they don't get overwhelmed by the masses, you know.
