Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered relevant agencies to provide full assistance to students and Thais in Egypt, after some have contracted Covid-19, while the government has coordinated a team of doctors and embassy officials to take care of those infected, Narumon Pinyosinwat, spokeswoman for the Prime Minister’s Office, said today (June 16).

She said four flights will bring 690 Thais home in July. These are among the 4,137 registered Thais in that country.

Two flights have already brought back 410 Thais from Egypt – on May 8 and June 9.

The Royal Thai Embassy in Egypt is in the process of surveying Thais who wish to return home.

“During the month of July, the government has prepared four flights to bring Thais in Egypt back to Thailand. They will arrive home on July 3,8,17 and 24,” Narumon said.

I wonder how many of them will be already infected with the virus like others who have been sent to Thailand with full blown virus...

Good news!

Nobody should be declined to go home, nobody!

Thailand has shown that they can handle screening and quarantining of the returning Thais, so not even the scaremongers should be whining about that.

Now include the residents too.

They will be quarantined as they should. In a couple of days, some of them will test positive. Meanwhile, there will be zero cases of local transmissions.

Everyone is going into quarantine that is what they do now. So its not a problem.

Maybe they are infected because they raided their mummy's tomb and the dangerous Covid virus came from a container inside.

good job by Khun Prayut Chan O Cha and the government of Thailand.

Thailand has done an exceptional job in containing the virus thanks to measures put in place by our PM.
