Ministry ‘sorry’ for hit-and-run incident, vows to punish driver

Once the clip of an official, flag-bearing government vehicle hitting and pushing a car off the road on Monday (June 15) went viral, the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry’s permanent secretary issued an apology on Tuesday saying the driver will be questioned and reprimanded for his action.

Phuket airport chief: More flights coming in July

Phone users warned of spike in criminals requesting OTPs

The massive growth in online transactions, especially during the Covid-19 crisis, has brought a spike in the number of scams to deceive customers into revealing their one-time passwords (OTP), telecoms giant Advanced Info Services (AIS) warned on Tuesday.

Khon Kaen Hospital demands return of ‘unfairly’ transferred director

Khon Kaen Hospital’s medical organisation is demanding that their former director Dr Charnchai Chanvorachaikul be allowed to return to the hospital, saying they do not trust the Public Health Ministry’s investigation into allegations against the doctor.

Cabinet rolls out support for those who missed out on previous subsidy schemes

Thailand’s Cabinet has rolled out four new schemes to help people affected by business closures caused by COVID-19 and who missed out on previous aid packages. The new measures will also cover fragile groups, including poor children under the age of 6, disabled people and those over 60.

Two injured as pickup driver swerves to miss dog, hits tree

PHUKET: A man and his female partner suffered injuries after their pickup truck hit a tree on the Thepkrasattri Rd traffic island in Thalang early this morning (Jun 16) after the driver attempted to avoid hitting a dog that had walked out onto the road.

PTT to supply natural gas to Egat for 10 years
