Do Thais think about T-shirts with English on them?

In the late 80s I had a t-shirt emblazoned with that famous early Madonna photo of her on all fours facing the camera with her pancakes on display. Looked like she had bruises on her face as well.

Nobody batted an eyelid when I was wearing it but that was the late 80s and times change.

I used to work at an airport and saw some rippers come through.

One was an old Chinese lady with "I give good head" on her shirt.

Obviously a laugh by someone in the family.

Saw an Aussie coming back from Thailand and he would've been at least 50 kg's overweight.

On the front he had "I bring nothing to the table"

Not just T-shirts.
I was invited to a local primary schools childrens dance and songs day.
The song and dance music from one group aged 7 had "f..." said every few minutes.
The teachers at the school included Thai, Filipino, American and English.

How many young children have uncontrolled use of iPads etc ?
Need I say more ...

Young girl -13 or so at local shop. White Power with a fist and a swastika. Considering recent events I thought interesting.

she hasn't got a clue what it means and to be honest ... who cares, it's past. She's not intentionally hurting any one, grandma probably gave her the t-shirt from the market ....

It's a bit like these statues being taken down everywhere because they had the slightest association with colored slavery .... I mean, move on ,  it's what happened and it's in the past so why go tearing everything down that is from the past.

Saw similar, young girl out with her middle class parents in the mall, T-shirt with Nazi flag and the words fcku you Punk Nazi &astar7ds! (Spelt correctly), in huge clear letters, they were oblivious to the meaning!

Don't you find a person with dark skin wearing a white power t shirt a little amusing??? I did write "interesting. I was not trying to get in a discussion about the issue. I was more thinking about how it would go down on the West which is kind of what the whole thread is about.

T Shirts are not exactly a sign of intelligence in any Country.

They do at least imply a sense of humour........well, some of 'em!

A friend of my missus is called Porn, recently she took to wearing a black T shirt with the words Porn Hub across the front.

I asked her if she knew what Pornhub was and she replied “don’t know”.

I told her it was porno internet site she was advertising she replied it didn’t matter because Thai’s can’t read English.

Up to her.

Porn, in Thai, means blessed.

About 12  years back I came across a full rack of white T shirts in Big C Bangkok that were on big discount.

Every one of them had  "Merry #litoris and Happy New Year" printed on the front.

Over in Bali it used to be common  to see T shirts  with  " Jap Eye Me " which took me a while to decipher.

I saw a girl with a "blow-jobs for dummies" book cover printed on front of her t-shirt down at the Talad. I asked her what it said and she replied "mai lu" Needless to say that i made no attempt to translate.
