webfact
One asymptomatic Covid-19 case found in state quarantine By The Nation One person tested positive for Covid-19 in state quarantine over a 24-hour period, the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Thursday (June 25). Thailand has reached 31 days without a domestic case. The new case is a returnee from Egypt and is asymptomatic, Dr Panprapa Yongtrakul, CCSA assistant spokeswoman, said. Meanwhile, 12 patients recovered fully and returned home. As of June 25, the total number of confirmed cases in the country stood at 3,158 (2,444 domestic cases and 221 in state quarantine) -- 58 are under treatment, 3,038 have recovered and been discharged, and there have been 58 deaths. Globally, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 9.5 million, increasing by 173,000 on Wednesday, and there have been more than 480,000 deaths. The US raised concerns with a sharp spike of more than 30,000 new cases in the last 24 hours. The situation in India is worrying as well with the country adding almost 16,000 new cases on June 24. Dr Panprapa shared her concerns about the start of the new semester. She urged students to follow good health practices and wear a mask. Or maybe it’s the thing stopping those untraceable community transmissions. I do wonder how people can be that much of a snowflake that a small face mask is such a big deal. I guess there are still repatriation flights back the Land of the Free (TM) if you want to play this anti mask culture war. 2

Bender Rodriguez
pretty sure this will be used to pretend everybody can come back ASAP as if people have money or intentions to go holiday, specially on a 10+ hour flight with no food/water + mask on
amdy2206
No cases for a month so Thailand is free - so why can't people from a country with no Covid go and have a drink together?? 1

On the other hand it may also be many are Covid + but it is not as big a deal as media makes it out to be Edited June 25, 2020 by meechai

Yes there are not testet that much as in other countries. So maybe you can miss COVID patient. But the patients who should go hospital because of heavy symptoms or the person who become dead this would be not that easy to hide. because there is always somebody who knew that person! So let's say it really could be true

So, that somebody can't tell us the data that one would need to know to decide if the reports are valid.

So let's say it really could be true Believe it or not there are few hospitals that have been over run anywhere in the world Yes there are dead in Areas that had elderly with pre-existing but in many places everything was being tallied as Covid related at that point even if it was not what actually killed them. But all that aside I live in a place in the USA with no dead & hospitals were never over run...Did we have cases? Yes Thailand for the most part is filled with people who do not go to the hospital & surely dont go every time they feel ill But that aside.......Please this suggestion that a country of 70 million has NONE not one covid case in over 30 days is pure fantasy If true then by all means why close any business? Keep borders shut & allow all within Thailand to mingle because all is covid free for 30+ days meaning it is by their account & yours gone right?...We know it is not nor has it ever been zeroed. Test like the USA with 500,000 tests a day & see how many test positive That DOES not mean hospitals over run & millions dead. It means what everyone already knows the virus is no more extinguished anywhere in the world than the common cold is This whole story is to some degree pooched as Covid is not as bad as media portrays ...But I get the reason for extra caution but that aside Thailand's consonant patting itself on the back & claiming ZERO covid for 30+ days is as usual pure Thai Fantasy Edited June 26, 2020 by meechai
