EU holds off decision on borders, Americans set to be excluded

I think the US is not hospitalizing all patients and difficult to know when recovered.

About 4 weeks ago the chart showed 1.2 million actIve cases. After 4 weeks I was curious how much the number recovered increased. The number recovered increased by about 200,000 or about 20% of the active cases from 4 weeks earlier.

I would have thought that after 4 weeks that 80% of the cases should have reached a conclusion (recovered or dead).

The chart shows very small percent of serious cases, but after 4 weeks the number recovered only increased by 20% of the active cases 4 weeks ago.

Is only 20% recovering after 4 weeks realistic?

Leaving the blame game out of it, right now there needs to be as little travel as possible & then only for urgent business, which thanks to technology can be very small amount.

To travel Internationally just for a holiday has to be a stupid action at this time

Perhaps check the testing counts on the countries in question.

This is all logical. The United States has reported more cases... Wait for it... Wait for it...

BECAUSE they've actually tested more people...

But I digress, frankly who would want to travel on vacation and experience everything under Covid19 rules anyway??

The death rates according to these so called experts has me thinking we should all just openmouth-kiss and get on with it.. (that's sarcasm for you sensitive folks)...

But whatever, let's all live our lives according to the Geopolitical and MSM Fearporn of the day..

Up next... Alien Invasion or Massive Swarms of Japanese Murder Hornets... I mean why the heck not right?!

BRUSSELS/CHICAGO (Reuters) - European Union countries failed to settle on Friday on a final "safe list" of countries whose residents could travel to the bloc from July, with the United States, Brazil and Russia set to be excluded.

how dare they!  this means it's time for sanctions and tariffs.

Actually, you've got it exactly wrong. It's more misleading to quote the numbers on a per country basis. Take Qatar. Only 109 deaths. But it's population is less than 3 million.

Perhaps in your opinion I got it wrong, but in my opinion I got it right.

You've missed the point. It's not about deaths, it's about current cases and infections.

USA, Brazil and Russia account for over 50% of active cases globally

Can you please post the link that it came from. I am curious to know the full figures. Thank you.

Now there you go confusing the issue with facts, it’s much more fun kicking the US around.

Okay enough "did too.... did not"

Here's a question: I'm American, have not been to USA in 3 years and have passport to prove it. Hangin in Thailand.

Could I get a visa if I were inclined if I showed that evidence?

Europe might be an attractive place to visit if there weren't other Americans there....

Not anti US.. anti Trump and his lies big difference.

They have high numbers and i think they would be higher if the truth comes out and more tests are done. I think Trump is doing its best to keep numbers lower. The testing remark is not a joke in my book. I think he is doing anything he can to act as if corvid is gone.

You are living in the US ? ..

That data is 4 days old as I write this.  UK was harder hit per capita than US.  Cases don't necessarily matter.  Hospitalizations and deaths do matter.

New cases are rising fastest in the Americas - new cases are declining in Europe -  this isn't over by a long way yet.

And hospitalizations are rising rapidly in America too. At least in those places that began to lift restrictions early.

Coronavirus hospitalizations are surging again in the US after dropping for 2 straight months — and the spike in new cases suggests it'll get far worse

Are they allowing travellers from India? It has  low infection rate per million population but testing is also among the lowest. So, there is no a defiite conclusions. Jut the infection per million population cant be a criteria unless somehow that number is normaized for testing/million population.

Americans tend not to believe in science.  This includes climate change.  However, a Man in the Sky is no problem for them to accept.

Other places did better than other states.  California had decent leadership doing this.  Hawaii has been really lucky to be isolated and the people here are super compliant and are taking the restrictions overboard.  Doesn't surprise me that people in Florida do not care.

The President really never took this seriously.  We had ample time to prepare.

India is up to No.4 in the world for total cases now:

Yes but India is included in the list of 54 countries based on their low per million infections. As I said per million infection should not be used as a criteria unless it is married to per million testing which is very low for India.

My question is why India is included in the 54 country list but Singapore, Malyasia, Taiwan are not included? Is it because of money, kissing India's ass for access to its large consumer market, or some other criteria? That is my question. I know all the charts. No use of posting them again and again.

To be honest i put the US with Trump on the same level as the CCP lies wise. I mean a president who calls out to test less (later calls it a joke) plus all his other things is not really trustworthy.

So neither are particularly trustworthy. The US lost his credit.

If  you  really had to choose  to Nuke  one and  annihilate it today, which would you  choose?
