Funny part being that In my opinion, no matter what they say in the media to protect themselves, I wouldn't be surprised if the right just won another vote.

Looking at crime stats sometimes does not show the full picture. When we look at cops vs black bad interactions we cannot see how many of these are black cops. (happy to see if you have).

Many of these "troubled" cities have black mayors and black police chiefs. Bad interactions should not be so prevalent.

A good rule of thumb in the USA is dont <deleted> around and trespass. The 'castle' is sacred and usually extends to your vehicle too.

I would think waving guns about when it looks like you don't know what your doing is more likely to start a looting session. Personally, I never felt the need to own a gun as I don't particularly want to shoot anyone and I don't live in fear of whats around every corner.

I don't live in fear either, especially because I know that in the absolute worst case, either me or the wife can defend ourselves.

 

2 ways to look at it, cower in fear and let people do what they want, or fight back. 

 

I wont be cowering if the worst ever happens and if it doesn't, no harm no foul.

Well if it makes you feel better dad got killed on a salvage job things went down hill fast I continued in the diving business and survived 34 years of commercial diving but beeing fired in the forge of working hard and at times under great peril it made me a compassionate open minded person trying in my small way to try to make my little world just a little bit better but that’s just me how about you?

It is  true that there are times when black cops have been on the scene when things have  gone wrong. But as part of their  'Duty" and more likely to be subordinate to white cops they would be more or less powerless to defy orders.

A relevant aspect of the  Floyd incident is that it involved an  experienced cop leading a group of "rookies".

There is seriously something wrong with education in that country.

The couple brandishing guns may be understandable in terms of scaring off possible aggression but they are wrong for engaging in verbal confrontation, waving and pointing aggressively and provoking the peaceful demonstrators. It is dangerous in this tense time. However Trump's tweet to million of his followers is stupid and outright dangerous as it will seen as an endorsement of this kind of action, racist and can trigger dangerous consequences. This seem a purposeful pattern of Trump to take a racist side and play to his supporters. Country is more divided with his recalcitrant behavior.

It seems, at this stage, that there is nothing Trump can do to get it right. He is so tone deaf, he is such a relic of a past era, his heart is filled with such hatred, animosity, and unhappiness, that he cannot help but project that onto the world. It makes him a dangerous man, and it makes him the wrong man for this job. He is floundering, and is utterly desperate. He has essentially disqualified himself for re-election. His own base is abandoning him. He is hopeless. Watching his actions is like watching a train wreck. Everything he does, everything he says, everything he tweets now is wrong. 72% of the nation agrees that reform is needed, and he just does not get that. He constantly reverts back to his white superiority role, and that is not playing well. All of the actions he used to get elected, are now ineffective, and that is reflected with his ever declining poll numbers, which his supporters love to claim are not a reflection of reality. What is reality, anyway? Is it the rhetoric this man has been spewing for 43 months now? Is truth not really truth? 

 

The world has changed, and he cannot see it, does not want to admit it, and is blind to progress, on any level. 

 

I predict his is going to lose big. 8-10 million votes, which will cancel out the very toxic electoral college, and will give Biden a strong mandate for change. And the dems are likely to take control of the senate, as the GOP is still hitching their fate to this sinking ship.

He has appeared to be very lethargic these days. It is quite possible he is suffering from some health issues. He does not look steady, though I suspect his increasingly unhinged state of mind, and a pathological fear of losing the election, is a big factor in that.

The couple don't have a fence in front of their mansion, probably felt they didn't need one in a secured street. The protesters were marching past them heading towards the Mayors house which is apparently in the same exclusive, closed street.
