There are no US military bases in Thailand since just after the Vietnam War.  They come for exercises then leave, no bases.

 What sort of exercises ?

  • Should just overrun TH in a mock exercise and use the place as a SE Asian military base before CHINA does.

The Thai General looks very impressive with his decorations, but the American has more scrambled eggs on his cap.

  • You mean act in a disrespectful way to other countries? Yeah right! That´s just up the US alley.

Very cute pink ribbon medal. Wonder if he has his elevator shoes on as well.

When you look at him you should know why it's pink

Why can't they do Cobra Gold in the USA ?

The pink ribbon medal is probably to commemorate the great contribution the Thai military made to defend their country against foreign invaders during WW2.  Can't quite make out what the silver medal is....could it be a silver dummy???

Handshake, check; warm embrace, check; kiss both cheeks, check. Covid, check!

I confirm the sad truth, but the world doesn't need militaries any longer.

The US military delegation, due to visit Thailand on July 9th and 10th, will strictly observe the regulations imposed by the CCSA to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Thailand’s Army Public Relations Centre has announced.

He did, he opened fire at 'nation haters'. Footage can be found online. Maybe that's where he got some medals for, in addition to medals for having polished shoes and finishing his breakfast.
