Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is meeting with around 10 newspapers over two weeks to hear their ideas on how to move Thailand forward after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The move comes after he announced last month that the government will change the way it works by encouraging more sectors to participate in determining Thailand’s future in the "new normal" era.

The premier has invited 10 newspaper editorial teams to talks.

He met with editorial staff at Nation Group, Daily News and ThaiRath today, following talks with Post Publishing editors yesterday. He is scheduled to meet with editors at Matichon Group and Neaw Na tomorrow, and Manager Group on Monday.

I believe Thailand's "new normal" era entails wearing your <deleted> mask properly.

No wonder the Thais aren't bothering nowadays, when every picture of Prayut shows him wearing it under his chin !

mr prayut. you have worked tirelessly to move thailand forward into the new world. it is time for you to step aside and bask in the glory of your accomplishments. no further improvement is needed. thai people will be forever in your debt. history will tell the story of the one who came in and set the ship on its proper path.

How about progressive thinking young people with sound leadership qualities being allowed to take the reins.

Oh sorry someone had a crack at that and was put in their place by the backward thinking conservitive old guard who's economic management skills have been on display for a few years with the result of running the country into the ground not aware that there is more to economic management than making the elites richer.

Wonder why he justly doesn’t hire a soothe sayer or ask his mirror mirror on the wall.

Your resignation sir, brings the country forward.

More likely to show them the consequences if not supporting the government agenda and be subservient to government aims.

Good work from Khun Prayut Chan O Cha. It shows he is listening to the people and will review ideas from the press and other sources. Obviously concerned about the economy and ways to kick start it and get it back to pre covid days.

Oh, he’s concerned alright. But not about other people.

Is that fatty video watching him from the car making sure he says nothing more than agreed ? Or a signed autographed photo ?

No one knows better than our great leader.....humility understanding and wisdom are words that bear no resemblance to his leadership....how can Thailand possibly improve on perfection :whistling:

Open the swiss vaults and bring back the money or open the airports ????

I smell some desperation here...

Opening a conduit to TVF? No doubt. No more masks or social distancing. ????Soon everybody's gon' be runnin' around naked and fornicating on the beaches and in the temples.

Discussing how to move forward, what a load of rubbish!

What I can imagine is that he probably spoke about anti-government articles in their respective news papers, being bad for his image and likely had a few threats thrown in!

Rupert Murdoch loves governments kowtowing to him.....but he doesn't own the Nation

He listens to nobody but his arrogant self and if he genuinely 'listened to the people' then he would stand down and call a 'proper' General Election.  The country will not move an inch further forward with him and his Military Misfits in charge.

2 steps forward,3 steps back, looking for advice from newspapers,

some of them cannot not even spell.

Get rid of the military government and restore democracy. Is that to much to ask?
