Serves as a warning though that when the country reopens, they need to be seriously on the ball.

Picked what? When? Where?

Many in Thailand, foreigners and Thai alike, follow the same "I do what I want" path. Rules are simply suggestions to many. Helmets? Two on a scooter? Set belts? Drivers licensing? One way streets? Speed limits? Elections? There is a trend here.

It's what comes of having no police force.

Me too - and like the New Zealanders, the Thai authorities responded very fast to track and test any potential contacts. In fact a textbook response to a scenario which may be repeated in many different places.

I just hope the ‘failures’ as the virus periodically slips through the gaps is handled intelligently without any outrageous knee-jerk reactions impacting everyone.

What was the Egyptian plane picking up in China?

This was not just a courtesy visit.

Would be interesting to see the cargo manifest.

Same as what the USA, canada, Australia, UK picks up; PPE.  Much of the world is still very much dependent upon china for masks, gowns , general medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.

That is simply not true.

Thailand has the best police force that money can buy.
