After attending a meeting with the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration on Wednesday (July 22), a cheerful Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha told the press he had shortlisted names for his new Cabinet. He did not elaborate or reveal names.

Meanwhile, government spokesperson Narumon Pinyosinwat said she would not be affected if she was not included in the Cabinet line-up, adding that though Deputy PM Prawit Wongsuwan has not spoken on the matter, things were heading in the right direction.

excellent ..... new cabinet reshuffle looking good and he seems confident & pleased on his selection.

Obviously the 200 protesters are long forgotten and probably back in school by now.

All things said and done it looks like another forward week by Khun Prayut and his new government.

Let's hope he continues to assist the needy and unemployed where he can but at the same time keep Thailand safe from the virus.

steve-o...can we agree that air drops of food and medical supplies to the millions of unemployed from the newly purchased government aircraft is in order ? what better way for prayut to utilize the new purchase than helping the millions he swore to protect.

Should this read conscripts .........LOL

Who cares?   Since 2014, nobody working for the junta has shown that they were the least bit likable let alone capable.  Dazed and confused is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking of the junta.   IF they wanted to save the country money, stop military conscription.   That won't happen.

Does not really matter as it will not last long either .......

No good reason to be pleased with this. The corrupt politicians who helped get him the job put a gun to his head and turned his big brother against him. They need to accelerate the pace of getting a return on the money they invested to get him in power and threatened to vote down the budget bill, if he didn't give them more portfolios. That would have forced Prayut to resign or dissolve parliament.  So he, as someone who knows nothing about economics, had to fire his trusted economics team.  They were far from being stellar performers but were steady and worked as a a team.  Now there there will be economically illiterate crooks in most of the jobs and no coordination between them and zero chance they will be able to anything to move the needle on economic recovery beyond what will happen anyway.  The interior ministry is going to big brother as blatant measure to manipulate local elections which will cause great resentment amongst protestors who are barely kept at bay by the continuous unjustifiable extensions of the emergency act.
