Navy drone intercepts diesel smuggler off Phuket

PHUKET: A Royal Thai Navy drone searching for Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing vessels yesterday (July 24) identified a modified fishing boat that was later seized while delivering illegal diesel to other fishing boats east of Phuket.

Justice Minister questions NACC’s graft charges filed against his wife

10 returnees in state quarantine test positive to Covid-19

Thailand saw 10 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in state quarantine on Friday (July 24) with zero deaths over a 24-hour period, Dr Taweesin, spokesman for the government’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation said. This was the 60th day since May for Thailand to not have any domestic cases.

Thai June exports fall 23.17% year-on-year, weakest pace in nearly 11 years

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's exports in June dropped by a bigger-than-expected 23.17% from a year earlier, the weakest pace since July 2009, as the coronavirus pandemic hit global demand, the commerce ministry said on Friday.

Students are right to protest against govt, survey shows

A survey of 1,308 respondents conducted by the “Super Poll” research centre showed that 77 per cent believe that protests were organised by students themselves, while 23 per cent said the student protests were funded by local or foreign political agencies.
