Gulf Of Thailand Won't Rise With Global Warming, Expert Claims

Distractions, lies, and distortions of truth aside (all of which will be dealt with in the courts via lawsuits against the BOLs).............the BOLs want you to think BIG GOVERNMENT does not exists and that some conspiracy is in play to create it.

The problem is that it already exists and there is no conspiracy. The only thing at work here is science/reason. And the scientific facts do not support, in any way shape or form, the position of the BOLs.

And they want you under their absolute control for the next 100 years:

*and many more…..the BOLs want you to focus on BIG GOVERNMENT to distract your attention from the real problem: BIG OIL/ENERGY MAFIA and its monopolistic/centralized control over the energy you purchase and use.

If you want more government control over you life and less freedom.........accept what the BOLs are telling you.

If you want less government control over your life and more freedom........demand that we shift to a decentralized form of energy (and take action on the population front).

You see, it is actually quite simple. Governments grow because they must respond to problems (social, economic, environmental, etc). Reduce the problems, and you reduce the need for government--making it smaller, not larger.

Continue down the path the BOLs want you to go down and problems will only increase......leading to more government control and less freedom. The BOLs are on the wrong side of everything and are apparently very confused.

Actually, they are only trying to distract you from the fact that BIG OIL (ENERGY MAFIA) has you under their control now.

Industry Ignored Its Scientists on Climate

Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/24/science/earth/24deny.html

For more than a decade the Global Climate Coalition, a group representing industries with profits tied to fossil fuels, led an aggressive lobbying and public relations campaign against the idea that emissions of heat-trapping gases could lead to global warming.

“The role of greenhouse gases in climate change is not well understood,” the coalition said in a scientific “backgrounder” provided to lawmakers and journalists through the early 1990s, adding that “scientists differ” on the issue.

But a document filed in a federal lawsuit demonstrates that even as the coalition worked to sway opinion, its own scientific and technical experts were advising that the science backing the role of greenhouse gases in global warming could not be refuted.

Hansen accuses energy execs of crimes against humanity and nature

June 24, 2008

Top climate scientist to Congress: Act fast before time runs out

The director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, one of the world’s top experts on climate change, told a congressional briefing yesterday that delays by business and politicians have “used up all slack in the schedule for actions needed to defuse the global warming time bomb.”

Unless action is taken quickly, James Hansen said, “it will become impractical to constrain atmospheric carbon dioxide, the greenhouse gas produced in burning fossil fuels, to a level that prevents the climate system from passing tipping points that lead to disastrous climate changes that spiral dynamically out of humanity’s control.”

Hansen, who first testified to Congress on global warming 20 years ago, blamed U.S. inaction on a deliberate campaign of misinformation financed by the oil and coal industries.

“Solution of the climate problem requires that we move to carbon-free energy promptly.

“Special interests have blocked transition to our renewable energy future. Instead of moving heavily into renewable energies, fossil companies choose to spread doubt about global warming, as tobacco companies discredited the smoking-cancer link. Methods are sophisticated, including funding to help shape school textbook discussions of global warming.

“CEOs of fossil energy companies know what they are doing and are aware of long-term consequences of continued business as usual. In my opinion, these CEOs should be tried for high crimes against humanity and nature.”

The fake "science" was busted long ago; now the political solidarity has followed it down the gurgler.

What you see above is an example of FRAUD. It is illegal to defraud the public in this way. The tobacco industry found this out.........and so will representative of BIG OIL (ENERGY MAFIA) who continue to post outright lies.

As I have tried to make clear, the legal system is shifting its position. The courts are now open to lawsuits against BIG OIL (ENERGY MAFIA) and the BOLs (BIG OIL LOBBYISTS).

It was, actually, the involvement of the courts that enabled the general public to focus on this fact: Smoking causes cancer.

The same thing is happening now with regard to BIG OIL (ENERGY MAFIA) and its propaganda machine.

Reality is sinking in.........but they do not want you to get in touch with reality.

I just hope that Obama is getting his advice from a reliable quarter....

Obama's advisor is Al Gore. They have already been in discussion over Copenhagen.

The good news is Obama cannot sign a treaty which is binding on the US. Any treaty he agrees to must be ratified by the US Senate to become effective. When the Kyoto Agreement was passed, it was rejected by the Senate in a 100-0 vote during the Clinton administration.

The bad news is the Senate is controlled by Obama's Democrats on a 58-40 majority with two independents. Even saying this, I don't think the Senate will ratify any agreement he makes. One third of the Senate is up for reelection in 2010 and the Democrats have enough problems without adding any more.

International law does not hold sway over the US Constitution. The US Constitution is the supreme governing document in the US.

Obama's carbon pawprint will be enormous when he comes to Copenhagen and then onward to Oslo to receive that well earned Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing.

He will be flying Air Force One, a fully loaded 747, and will likely have several F-16s flying cover. In addition, he will have one or two C-130s to bring his fleet of armored Cadillac limousines and possibly his helicopter.

The entire conference is a classic lesson in hyprocisy.

What you see above is an example of FRAUD. It is illegal to defraud the public in this way.

Of all the dumb things posted in this thread in support of the global warming ideology, that gets Win, Place and Show on its own for ignorant stupidity.

What is illegal, is to take tens of millions of dollars of public money in order to make up fake theories about "man-made global warming" and then try to hide the scientific evidence which points in a completely different direction.

Charlatans such as Michael ("Hide the Decline") Mann and Phil (The Trick") Jones will find this out; most of the rest of the dim-bulb nimrods who believe in the man-made global warming quackery are of no more consequence than nodding dogs in the back of a car, and display similar behaviour.

No doubt: The earth is warming

The British Met Office has released world-wide temperature data into the public domain to give evidence that the globe is warming.

Rie Jerichow

08/12/2009 13:35

The British Met Office has published station temperature records for over 1,500 of the stations that make up the global land surface temperature record. The data shows that global-average land temperatures have risen over the last 150 years and that global warming has increased since the 1970s.

According to Reuters, the Met Office Hadley Centre has published the data to increase transparency and support evidence that the globe is warming.

The release is a response to the series of leaked e-mails from the University of East Anglia. The e-mails indicated that some climate experts were suppressing others' data to enhance their own, Reuters reports.

The Met Office will continue to put as much of the station temperature record as possible into the public domain. When international approvals are in place, the remaining station records – around 5,000 in total – will be released.

Open Letter to Secretary-General of United Nations

Dear Secretary-General,

Climate change science is in a period of ‘negative discovery’ - the more we learn about this exceptionally complex and rapidly evolving field the more we realize how little we know. Truly, the science is NOT settled.

Therefore, there is no sound reason to impose expensive and restrictive public policy decisions on the peoples of the Earth without first providing convincing evidence that human activities are causing dangerous climate change beyond that resulting from natural causes. Before any precipitate action is taken, we must have solid observational data demonstrating that recent changes in climate differ substantially from changes observed in the past and are well in excess of normal variations caused by solar cycles, ocean currents, changes in the Earth's orbital parameters and other natural phenomena.

We the undersigned, being qualified in climate-related scientific disciplines, challenge the UNFCCC and supporters of the United Nations Climate Change Conference to produce convincing OBSERVATIONAL EVIDENCE for their claims of dangerous human-caused global warming and other changes in climate. Projections of possible future scenarios from unproven computer models of climate are not acceptable substitutes for real world data obtained through unbiased and rigorous scientific investigation.

Specifically, we challenge supporters of the hypothesis of dangerous human-caused climate change to demonstrate that:

Variations in global climate in the last hundred years are significantly outside the natural range experienced in previous centuries;

Humanity’s emissions of carbon dioxide and other ‘greenhouse gases’ (GHG) are having a dangerous impact on global climate;

Computer-based models can meaningfully replicate the impact of all of the natural factors that may significantly influence climate;

Sea levels are rising dangerously at a rate that has accelerated with increasing human GHG emissions, thereby threatening small islands and coastal communities;

The incidence of malaria is increasing due to recent climate changes;

Human society and natural ecosystems cannot adapt to foreseeable climate change as they have done in the past;

Worldwide glacier retreat, and sea ice melting in Polar Regions , is unusual and related to increases in human GHG emissions;

Polar bears and other Arctic and Antarctic wildlife are unable to adapt to anticipated local climate change effects, independent of the causes of those changes;

Hurricanes, other tropical cyclones and associated extreme weather events are increasing in severity and frequency;

Data recorded by ground-based stations are a reliable indicator of surface temperature trends.

It is not the responsibility of ‘climate realist’ scientists to prove that dangerous human-caused climate change is not happening. Rather, it is those who propose that it is, and promote the allocation of massive investments to solve the supposed ‘problem’, who have the obligation to convincingly demonstrate that recent climate change is not of mostly natural origin and, if we do nothing, catastrophic change will ensue. To date, this they have utterly failed to do so.

Lord Monckton reports from The Copenhagen Summit:

Great link.

I must say, I never before appreciated the direct link between the man-made global warming scam, the related drive to produce biofuel causing a doubling of basic food prices, hence causing many people in severe poverty to die. Crimes against humanity indeed.

Top UN scientist: What Climategate?

In harsh wording Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC, defends British colleagues whose hacked emails have ignited debate over the credibility of mainstream climate science.

Morten Andersen

08/12/2009 18:30

The hacking of emails from a leading British climate research centre is a “terrible and illegal act”, according to Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) advising the UN negotiations on climate.

“I think this is an illegal act. The only issue that has to be dealt with as far as this occurrence is concerned is to find out who is behind it,” Mr. Pachauri told a press conference according to AFP.

The emails were hacked from computers at the University of East Anglia. As some of the emails seem to reflect attempts by mainstream scientists to block publication of articles by dissenting researchers, the affair has been dubbed “Climategate” by the media. This is a highly misleading phrase according to Rajendra Pachauri:

“One can only surmise that those who have carried out this act have done it with the very clear intention as to influence the process in Copenhagen – but, barring a few isolated voices, people over here are totally convinced of the solidity of the findings of the IPCC report.”

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon concurs: “Nothing that has come out in the public as a result of the recent email hackings has cast doubt on the basic scientific message on climate change and that message is quite clear – that climate is changing much, much faster than we realized and we human beings are the primary cause,” Ban Ki-moon states, according to Reuters.

COMMITTING CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY:

One of many examples their crimes against humanity:

Understanding why climate change means global famine

BIG GOVERNMENT ALREADY EXISTS (there is no conspiracy to create what already exists):

International Monetary Fund

International Bank for Reconstruction and Development

World Bank Group

European Union

G-20

OPEC

United Nations

*and many more…..the BOLs want you to focus on BIG GOVERNMENT to distract your attention from the real problem: BIG OIL/ENERGY MAFIA and its monopolistic/centralized control over the energy you purchase and use.

BIG OIL (ENERGY MAFIA) wants us dependent on their environmentally unsound, centralized energy platform for the next 100 years (actually, forever). The last thing they want is for us to demand a decentralized energy platform that they can’t control and profit from.

CENTRALIZED ENERGY = CONTINUED ECONOMIC SLAVERY AND DEPENDENCY ON BIG OIL AND BIG GOVERNMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION AND SOCIAL CHAOS

DECENTRALIZED ENERGY = FREEDOM, LESS GOVERNMENT, AND EMPOWERMENT OF INDIVIDUALS

BIG OIL = THE FOSSIL FUEL ENERGY MAFIA

Look at this:

post-36006-1260340375_thumb.jpg

That is a picture taken from space of our incredibly thin and fragile atmosphere........the part in blue.

It is about 90 miles thick........BUT, the breathable part is only about 2.3 miles thick.

Does that put this in perspective?

Do you really want to play the most dangerous game in the history of the human species, gambling that anything the BOLs are saying is actually correct?

I hope not! They are completely wrong. They are also engaging in an illegal act....FRAUD, something they will pay for later.

Who are the BOLs? They are just thought assassins working for the ENERGY MAFIA.

The problem for the BOLs is that people are not stupid (THEY ASSUME YOU ARE).

You can only distract, distort and confuse for so long BOLs......eventually truth surfaces.

And the truth surfaced a long time ago: Because of our environmentally unsound economic activities (coupled with population growth), the earth is getting warmer, setting us up for a dangerous patterN of climate change.

One of many examples their crimes against humanity:

Group promoting climate skepticism has extensive ties to Exxon-Mobil

A group promoting skepticism over widely-accredited climate change science has a web of connections to influential oil giant Exxon-Mobil, Raw Story has found.

The organization is called the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC), apparently named after the UN coalition International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). An investigation into the group reveals its numerous links to Exxon-Mobil, a vehement opponent of climate legislation and notorious among scientists for funding global warming skeptics.

"Exxon-Mobil essentially funds people to lie," Joseph Romm, lauded climate expert and author of the blog Climate Progress, told Raw Story. "It's important for people to understand that they pay off the overwhelming majority of groups in the area of junk science."

The NIPCC's signature report, "Climate Change Reconsidered," disputes the notion that global warming is human-caused, insisting in its policy summary that "Nature, not human activity, rules the planet." Many of its assertions have been challenged by, among others, the scientists' blog RealClimate.

The report was released and promoted this summer by the Heartland Institute, a think tank that claims to support "common-sense environmentalism" as opposed to "more extreme environmental activism." It alleges that "Global warming is a prime example of the alarmism that characterizes much of the environmental movement."

That must hurt a bit.............and still more:

Now we find that Globulous Al can't even tell the time

Q (Slate): How damaging to your argument was the disclosure of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University?

A (Gore): To paraphrase Shakespeare, it’s sound and fury signifying nothing. I haven't read all the e-mails, but the most recent one is more than 10 years old. .... What we’re seeing is a set of changes worldwide that just make this discussion over 10-year-old e-mails kind of silly.

Er, no. The most recent emails in Climategate were from November 2009. Last month, this year, earth time. Perhaps he needs to fire the secretary that reads the news for him.

Dear All (especially Chris/Catherine),

Here's the latest draft of WP1. All in the group have now commented and amended this.

You should have the 3 supporting letters from Tree partners. Eric was contacting Eric Steig and Sandy (see below) is contacting 3 coral people.

There is an issue about a Map. Rob W put one in his PhD page. This shows the corals. If we were to add the tree-ring sites we would mainly get a splodge of points in South America and NZ.

Once more, Gore's pants have been yanked down round his ankles....

And as Monckton reports (

) from Copenhagen, the document commissars tried to stop him getting hold of the draft treaty. When I say 'him', I mean Monckton, no point in showing it to Gore.

Not damaging at all.........the consensus stands........global warming and climate change are real and largely human induced.

If you want a scientific response, go here: http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archi...u-hack-context/

Hopefully you can read that..........

Theft is illegal.........the people responsible will go to jail. Fraud is illegal........those engaging in fraud will pay the price.

If you ever end up in front of a judge for engaging in fraud (hopefully you are not using your real name), please do me a favor and say this: "Judge........I think you are stupid and ignorant.......don't you know that global warming is a myth perpetuated by climate scientists worldwide for the purpose of creating BIG GOVERNMENT." :)

in 2007, Monckton ran a series of advertisements in The New York Times and Washington challenging Al Gore to an internationally televised debate on climate change, but Globulous Al didn't have the b*ll*cks to get up for it, knowing he'd get roundly thrashed.

Yes the tide is turning.

"Yet, it will be 2009 that will be best remembered as the "Year of the Skeptic." Until this year, any scientist, reporter, or politician who dared raise even the slightest suspicion about the science behind global warming was dismissed and repeatedly mocked.

JR, you seem to have missed this post by teatree. All I can find from you in response is

Distort, distract, confuse.........you are transparent.

Now back to reality.............

Open Letter to Secretary-General of United Nations

Dear Secretary-General,

Climate change science is in a period of 'negative discovery' - the more we learn about this exceptionally complex and rapidly evolving field the more we realize how little we know.

Variations in global climate in the last hundred years are significantly outside the natural range experienced in previous centuries;

Humanity's emissions of carbon dioxide and other 'greenhouse gases' (GHG) are having a dangerous impact on global climate;

Computer-based models can meaningfully replicate the impact of all of the natural factors that may significantly influence climate;

Sea levels are rising dangerously at a rate that has accelerated with increasing human GHG emissions, thereby threatening small islands and coastal communities;

The incidence of malaria is increasing due to recent climate changes;

Human society and natural ecosystems cannot adapt to foreseeable climate change as they have done in the past;

Worldwide glacier retreat, and sea ice melting in Polar Regions , is unusual and related to increases in human GHG emissions;

Polar bears and other Arctic and Antarctic wildlife are unable to adapt to anticipated local climate change effects, independent of the causes of those changes;

Hurricanes, other tropical cyclones and associated extreme weather events are increasing in severity and frequency;

Data recorded by ground-based stations are a reliable indicator of surface temperature trends.

It is not the responsibility of 'climate realist' scientists to prove that dangerous human-caused climate change is not happening. Rather, it is those who propose that it is, and promote the allocation of massive investments to solve the supposed 'problem', who have the obligation to convincingly demonstrate that recent climate change is not of mostly natural origin and, if we do nothing, catastrophic change will ensue. To date, this they have utterly failed to do so.

Now I didn't count how many signatories there are, but there are a lot, and they all appear to be real scientists, and not only that, but scientists working in climatology and related fields.

Are you going to tell us now that these people are of no account, or will you tell us that they all work for BIG OIL?

Has it not occurred to you that because the "scientists" from whom you derive your dubious prognostications have been found to be falsifying and omitting data so as to arrive at a predetermined conclusion that the temple you have built to AGW has foundations of sand?

You keep posting the same tired mantras, with the same tired "we love Al Gore" links, but you have yet to post anything that would convince anyone of the veracity of your parroted claims.

Admit it mate. You really don't have a leg to stand on. The scam's been sussed.

If Teatree posts something worth responding to that is not a lie or distortion of truth or an attempt to distract readers from reality or something significant, I will respond.

What matters is the opinions of responsible climate scientists and politicians and not crackpots.

Now, take a look at this:

post-36006-1260402389_thumb.jpg

That is the AHC (Atlantic Heat Conveyor). Think of it as a heat transfer engine in the ocean that has an extremely important impact on weather, especially in NW Europe.

Since the early 1990s, it has reduced in strength by 30%.

Why? Global warming. And if the ice and snow in Greenland continues to melt, the AHC will shut down causing much of Europe to go into a deep freeze for a very long time.

That will cause massive problems for the economies of the European Union.

That will impact the global economy in a negative manner.

As stated many times, we are playing the most dangerous game ever played by the human species. Fortunately, the scientific consensus is solid and gaining strength as more data is gathered.

The trend is very clear: the earth is heating up.

And the reason is very clear: humans engaged in environmentally unsound economic activities--activities underpinned by an outdated, destructive, centralized fossil fuel energy system controlled by the ENERGY MAFIA.

For more than a decade the Global Climate Coalition, a group representing industries with profits tied to fossil fuels, led an aggressive lobbying and public relations campaign against the idea that emissions of heat-trapping gases could lead to global warming. But a document filed in a federal lawsuit demonstrates that even as the coalition worked to sway opinion, its own scientific and technical experts were advising that the science backing the role of greenhouse gases in global warming could not be refuted.

BIG GOVERNMENT ALREADY EXISTS. There is no conspiracy to create what already exists. Here are just a few examples of global entities that influence all of our lives: International Monetary Fund, Bretton Woods, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank Group, European Union, G-20, OPEC, United Nations

*The BOLs want you to focus on BIG GOVERNMENT to distract your attention from the real problem: BIG OIL/ENERGY MAFIA and its monopolistic/centralized control over the energy you purchase and use.

BIG OIL ( ENERGY MAFIA) wants us dependent on their environmentally unsound, centralized energy platform for the next 100 years (actually, forever).

JR,

Please stop spamming with your endless drivel. If people were interested in your links they would have read them the first time you posted them, not the 10,000th.

Everyone knows the jig is up with the global warming /climate change charade.

Unlike the faux scientists who manufactured a cause, the expose' of their ill-done deeds is undeniable and blows any "conclusions" or "consensus" a mile out of the water.

http://www.courierpress.com/news/2009/dec/...l-warming-hoax/

And people who have actually disected and analyzed the code in the corrupted climate models:

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/04/clim...e-smoking-code/

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/12/05/the-...ng-code-part-2/

When people purposely tweak fudge factors in a model, they make a choice to change their goal from trying to validate a hypothesis as fact, to corrupting the scientific process in order to fulfill a religious argument.

And here are some of the scriptures of their religious argument:

“The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty we can’t.”

“The rest of the [CRU] databases seems [sic] to be in nearly as poor a state as Australia was. . . . We can have a proper result, but only by including a load of garbage.”

“I can’t see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report. Kevin and I will keep them out somehow — even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!”

“I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie, from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline” in temperatures, Prof. Philip Jones, CRU’s chief, wrote in a Nov. 16, 1999, e-mail to Prof. Michael Mann, director of Penn State University’s Earth System Science Center.

As Jones e-mailed Mann: “If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the UK, I think I’ll delete the file rather than send to anyone. . . . We also have a data protection act, which I will hide behind.”

“We need to cover our behinds on what was done here,” Mann wrote Jones on June 20, 2003.

“Mike, can you delete any e-mails you may have with Keith re: AR4 [iPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report]. Keith will do likewise,” Jones wrote Mann on May 29, 2008. “Can you also email Gene and get him to do the same? We will be getting Caspar to do likewise.”

Mann wrote back: “I’ll contact Gene about this ASAP.”

“I did get an email from the [Freedom of Information] person here early yesterday to tell me I shouldn’t be deleting emails,” Jones wrote on Dec. 10, 2008. Under British law, it is a crime to destroy materials sought in Freedom of Information requests."

Benjamin Santer to Phil Jones: "As you'll see, Reviewer 1 was very happy with the revisions we've made to the paper. Reviewer 2 was somewhat crankier. I have to confess that I was a little ticked off by Reviewer 2's comments. The good news is that the editor (Glenn McGregor) will not send the paper back to Reviewer 2.."

And JR, yes, please do stop spamming. It's very tiresome and puts off people who might otherwise want to contribute to or read about this debate? Or is that your intention, as you know your position is utterly busted?

I guess we'll soon see the answer to that question....

Phelim McAleer,a veteran journalist and film maker,asked Professor Stephen Schneider, who is a senior member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC),his opinion on leaked emails that have shown a senior British professor deleted data and encouraged colleagues to do likewise --- if it contradicted their belief in Global Warming.

As the press conference progressed Professor Schneider’s assistant called armed UN security guards to the room. They held McAleer and aggressively ordered cameraman Ian Foster to stop filming. The guard threatened to take away the camera and expel the film crew from the conference if they did not obey his instructions to stop filming Professor Schneider.

The guard demanded to look at the film crews press credentials and refused to allow them to film until Professor Schneider left the room.

McAleer said he was disappointed by Professor Schneider’s behaviour.

“It was a press conference. Climategate is a major story – it goes to the heart of the Global Warming debate by calling into question the scientific data and the integrity of many scientists involved.”

“These questions should be answered. The attempts by UN officials and Professor Schneider’s assistant to remove my microphone were hamfisted but events took a more sinister turn when they called an armed UN security officer to silence a journalist.”

Two officers corralled the film crew and one officer can be seen on tape threatening the cameraman. The Guard can also be heard warning that if the crew did not stop filming their would seize the equipment and the journalists expelled from the conference.

McAleer says he has made an official complaint about the incident.

“I have met Mr Christopher Ankerson the UN’s head of security for the conference and he has confirmed it was Professor Schneider’s staff who asked the security guards to come corral us at the press conference. Mr Ankerson could not say what grounds the security guard had for ordering us to stop filming.”

“This is a blatant attempt to stop journalists doing journalism and asking hard questions. It is not the job of armed UN security officers to stop legitimate journalists asking legitimate questions of senior members of the UN’s IPCC.”
