Work Permit & Visa

i am working on a Non B visa & Work Permit for a couple of years in bangkok .. My current visa is valid until Oct 31 2007 and the work permit also until the same date. If i leave the current job, i understand i need to return my WP which will eventually be canceled. My question is that after the WP is canceled, does it affect my visa in anyway?

You will have 7 days to change it to another visa or leave Thailand.

If you are still wanting to work for the same company. Renew it or revalidate the work permit.

Retirement, visit your Thai child, retirement, marriage, education, etc. Of course you must meet that criteria for that extension of stay permit.

My understanding was that a non imm B visa remains valid after the work permit is cancelled. However if you have a one year extension of stay, based on work, then this will be cancelled, meaning you have to leave the country and get a new visa. Is that incorrect?

You can either leave and get a new visa or change it to a new visa inside Thailand.

Labor Dept charges 850 Baht for a work permit less than 90 days

1,600 Baht for 91 days to 6 months

3,100 for more than 6 months to one year.

Our fee for the revalidation is 1,600 Baht. Our professional fee for the renewal is 3,900 Baht.

ALSO, MY VISA WOULD HAVE EXPIRED BY THEN,DO I RENEW IT OR GET A NEW VISA?

The government charges 1,900 Baht. Our professional fees for the renewal are 3,900 Baht.

You will find the extension of stay permit based on business is not a walk in the park.

Thanks,so that means i will pay 1900 plus 3900 for my visa? also i do not need to go back to my country to make a new visa?

what about work permit? 3900 plus 850? is it a confirmed sure can get? cause my company is not making profit now,which is the reason why they does not approve the visa for more than 3 months,this is the 1st time i do visa,usually i just go in as tourist...
