A week in Consular team #2

Here is a quick wrap up of another full week in the Consular team at the British Embassy Bangkok.

First we want to say how excited we are to see the Embassy Section in Thai Visa Forum. The discussion so far has been really interesting. There are some tough questions there too - we'll do our best to answer them.

Quite a lot ask about what the Team do. On that, this week we dealt with 6 death cases, 23 emergencies involving vulnerable Brits and delivered 29 notarial services.

We managed to help a vulnerable child and mother return from a neighbouring country to Thailand. We have also been coordinating with Thai Immigration on a complex situation of a detainee who wishes to return to his home country.  And we got this great compliment, which just made our day ‘Thank you so much you have saved my life I'll never forget this’.
