Thai media 77kaoded reported that one of Pattaya's deputy mayors got down and dirty in the resort to pick up litter blocking the drains in the area of the Na Klua market yesterday.

There had been some heavy monsoon rains the previous night and the drains were blocked with leaves, plastic bags and other trash.

Several pictures showed Banleu Kunlawanich with a plastic bag on his head, rolled up trousers and wellies.

He urged people in Pattaya to throw their trash in the right place and keep the front of their properties clean and tidy.

Well, he is most welcome to come by Soi Khao Noi whenever we have a cloud burst. Just needs to bring his kayak with him.

Hats off to him .. must be quite a draining job ..

Surprised not wearing any rubber gloves as well as the wellies when picking that c**p out of the drains..........

He should take some lessons on how it's properly done by watching post10 and drain addict on utube..

Note: ONE of the DEPUTY mayors... the others are too bone idle, including the big man!

921416.jpg  Drainspotting with the deputy Mayor. No hat, no gloves, no mask. But at least he's doing something.

You have to start sometime, somehow. He is by himself, noble to do, admirable.

But he could have made it bigger and took some of his employers with him.

Normally they have actions like planting trees and so, where all government personnel MUST comply.

It is however better to use some gloves to pick up trash.

Breaking the emergency decree, but you won't see plod talking photo's of him or visiting his home to intimidate him.

It would be better if he spent some small money of his and paid 100 people to do the same thing.  Cheap Charlie.  ????

First we had Photocops proudly grinning whenever a crime is fortuitously solved; now it's Photodep posing for the cameras.

Thailand , were no good deed goes unnoticed  .....

Pattaya's deputy mayor got down and dirty with with a plastic bag on his head, sounds remarkably the type of thing a Tory MP does when committing suicide
