One good thing to come from this pandemic is it will speed the full legalization of recreational marijuana in Thailand...good for farmers...good for government (taxes)...good for tourism.

Is cannabis oil available already in Thailand? Can I buy it with a doctor's prescription? They have been talking about it so much, so confusingly and for so long; but yesterday here on TV, I saw that someone had been arrested and charged for growing 6 plants.

All the road death complainers should be 100% against weed expansion here.

More stoned drivers cannot be a good thing.

It can’t be any worse.

Honest question.  How come you believe that. They can't even bring themselves to decriminalize no less legalize kratom which is essentially high-octane caffeine.
Cannabis?  They pay lip service to decriminalization/legalization in order to juice the public into accepting their plans that primarily benefit established Thai corporations.  But past lip service I've seen nothing to convince me that is any willingness to legalize pot no less decriminalize it.
They're still busting anyone involved in growing, distributing, or using marijuana.

Why do you believe this is going to change?  Basing my assumptions of modern Thai history and cultural norms which are highly resistance to change - well, unless there is money to be made. But even then???

I can confidently predict this will never happen.

People will never be allowed to legally smoke or grow.

what a ridiculous headline, any fool knows that flogging a bit of medical cannabis is not going to 'drive' the economy. do these 'journalists' engage their brain before writing?
