BANGKOK (NNT) - Chatuchak District Office has organized a volunteer activity to clean drainage pipes along the BTS Green Line on outbound Phaholyothin Road.

Chatuchak District Office organized a "We Do Good Deeds for the Nation, the Religion and the Monarchy" volunteer activity this week to clean drainage pipes along the BTS Green Line (Mo Chit - Saphan Mai - Khu Khot) on Phaholyothin Road (outbound), which is an area prone to flooding in Chatuchak area. Drainage pipes from the front of Major Cineplex Ratchayothin until the entrance of Soi Phahonyothin 35 were cleaned, to allow water to flow freely to prevent and solve flooding problems.

The activity was attended by Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) management team, Chatuchak District Office’s administrators and volunteer staff from various agencies, consisting of the BMA’s Department of Drainage and Sewerage, Military Anti-Aircraft Department, the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Italian Thai Company Development Public Company Limited, the Major Cineplex Group Public Company Limited and the Phaholyothin Police Station in front of Major Ratchayothin, Chatuchak district.

Yes for a job like that you best wear a yellow shirt and white gloves....????

And your best shoes...

For how massive the government is, the people have to do the work for free ????

Only one came dressed to do the shi**y job then?

Why volunteers?

Isn't it the BMA's job?

I wonder what's their next move?

'd suggest to get volunteers to make footpaths more convenient for to elderly!

Normally they let prisoners do this job, working on the chaingang.

Pity the poor guy in the hole, handing up the buckets...

Its good to see they have an official finger pointer at the head of the line.

Job well done sir  :whistling:

Military Anti-Aircraft Department,

Eh .! I've heard of the SkyTrain but never a Skydrain ..

Government employees obviously far too busy to carry out such a mundane task and so like the recent pothole incidents the people have to do the work for nothing but community pride and convenience.

what drivel ,why not ask why volunteers  have to do this work not  paid govt workers.
