webfact
Man robs cash from Bangkok 7-Eleven store at knifepoint By THE NATION A knife-wielding man walked away with thousands of baht in cash from a 7-Eleven store in Bangkok in the wee hours of Tuesday. At 2am on Tuesday (September 1), Bangkok Yai Police Station were alerted to the robbery at 7-Eleven convenience store in Soi Jaran Sanitwong 8, Thaphra subdistrict. Shop employees reportedly told police that at around 1am a tall man, about 180-190cm in height, walked in wearing a red hoodie, black pants and a face mask. “He pointed a foot-long knife at me, so I and two other employees fled to a backroom and locked the door,” said one of the employees. Police said that CCTV footage showed that after threatening the employees, the suspect walked in behind the counter and took the cash from the register. One customer came in to buy canned coffee and the suspect pretended to be a shop clerk. He scanned the product and received the money, after which he grabbed a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from the display cabinet and left the store. Witnesses reportedly saw him crossing the road and getting into a taxi. The shop reported that Bt14,000 cash was missing from the register, while police speculated that the suspect must have had experience working as a shop clerk, as he knew how to use the scanner and cash register. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the road in front of the shop to track down the suspect. brianp0803
Maybe he was just following the only Black Lives Matter organizers stating it’s OK to steal if it is to feed yourself or your family. It’s OK to do drugs if your life is horrible.

All I can guess is that at 2 am, and buying coffee, the customer was not too alert
