BANGKOK, Sept 2 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said Predee Daochai resigned as the finance minister because he had a stroke and the government’s work would be intact.

The prime minister said Mr Predee reported that he had a stroke and the reason forced the resignation.

Mr Predee had assisted in the work of the government and the prime minister and despite the resignation, the government could continue with its work because regulations allowed relevant officials to take acting roles and a deputy prime minister overseeing economic affairs could also take charge, Gen Prayut said.

And yet another u-turn in the reporting as to why.  Someone needs to get this government to become cohesive and just put out one PR related story and stick to it.  Do they not see how this makes them look worldwide with things flip flopping every day.

Does Prayut not realize how pathetic all this nonsense makes him look?

If as Prayut claims Preedee had a stroke, why was it not mentioned before

Why, when Pradee said he had 'sclerosis' does Prayut say otherwise?

Didn't know he wore glasses, is this new - hope it's nothing trivial?

stroke or joke, he doesn't know the difference.

I heard they had just offered a $2 billion package to help Thai people.

Yes 3,000 baht to each Thai citizen over the age of 18 is what the news stated tonight.

Maybe its the reporters and articles that are  lying ... it couldnt possibly be Prayut is lying, and surly he wouldnt have a liar as finance minister, that would be unthinkable... naaa its obviously reporting lies a malicious smear on the very upstanding and perfectly honest duly elected government, so we will have to assume the reporters are foreigners with an malicious agenda making up these salacious lies,  because we all know a Thai wouldnt do that. :wai:

Can lightning strike twice, if so we may be in luck if it hits the watchman and travels up the wire like the key on Ben Franklins kite.

You know what they say, playing with yourself too much will make you go blind, well I think he stopped just in time!

He had a stroke, then returned to hand in his resignation...fastest stroke recovery ever....

These people must go to the local kindergarten for advice sometimes.....so utterly lame@!

A medical was not necessary for the position.

Where was he stroked and by whom?
