Thai Military Personnel to Leave for South Sudan

RATCHABURI, Sept 2 (TNA) — The Thai armed forces will send 273 military officers to support the peace-keeping mission of the United Nations in South Sudan.

 

Maj Gen Theerapong Patamasing Na Ayutthaya, spokesman of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, said that the officers formed the second lot of Thai military personnel for UN’s peace-keeping mission in South Sudan.

 

Gen Pornpipat Benyasri, chief of defence forces, presided over a ceremony to extend the best wishes to the 273 military officers at the Engineer Department in Ratchaburi.
