Thailand reports first domestic coronavirus case in 100 days

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Thursday reported its first local coronavirus transmission in more than 100 days, officials said, after a man who was recently imprisoned failed a routine test at a Bangkok jail.

PHUKET:-- Foreigners staying in the country on any form of tourist visa will be allowed to repeatedly renew their permits to stay with immigration for periods of 30 days at a time after the ‘visa amnesty’ ends on Sept 26, the Immigration Bureau announced today (Sept 3).

MOAC to promote Thailand as rubber glove manufacturing hub

BANGKOK(NNT) - Rubber growers in Thailand have been suffering from low produce pricing for quite some years, with several efforts already made by the government to help improve their livelihood. The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MOAC) has stressed its policy is to promote Thailand as a global hub for rubber glove manufacturing to help increase the demand for natural rubber.

Thailand, together with 189 countries, has signed and ratified the Paris climate agreement. With its vast coastlines and the monsoon-dependent North and Northeast, Thailand would suffer badly if the global temperature rises beyond the 2C limit in the agreement.
