OmegaRacer
Hello all I'm thinking about getting a second hand car. Something small and under 400k. I've been looking at the Mazda 2 and 3 hatchbacks and I really like the design and interior finish. I have some doubts about their reliability though as I heard that many of the Mazdas have issues with the fuel pump (or cooling pump?). Does anyone of you have more info or real life experience with the Mazda 2 or 3? Also, perhaps you can recommend another similar car? Lacessit
No problem with the Mazda 2 I bought about a year ago, great small car. Haven't heard of or experienced pump issues. I especially like the 6-speed torque converter gearbox, which can be operated in automatic or manual mode. Much better driving experience than a CVT when one is on mountain roads. It does require 95 octane fuel, but that's not a big deal.
Puchaiyank
Purchased a new Mazda 2...great fuel economy, easy handling and maneuvering thru traffic...comfortable on long trips...lots of trunk space...back seats fold down for more space. When you purchase used...try to find an original owner car for sale...less likely to have been used and abused. Good luck!
