Putting A File On The Web For Someones Else To Download

Featured Replies

I need to send someone a large file by internet - 10mb. Too much for email.

Does anyone know of a filesharing site, password protected, where I can dump a file which someone else can download?

Any other way to get such a large file to someone by internet?

May you split the file in parts and send multiple e-mails! But if you do, use WinRAR because Zip files often are recognized as Spam!

Otherwise send me an PM with your name. Tel No. and e-mail address (real one) and I create for a short period (max. 7 days) a account on my server for you to use.

http://rapidshare.com

Each file uploaded will be given a unique URL - it's this what your friend will use to retrieve the file once uploaded. Full of annoying banners and delays, but gets the job done.

www.gmail.com allows up to 10mb per email.

My Hotmail account says I have 1073mb of download space available.

If you frequently have to share files with your good friends consider Hamachi.

Here's the link: http://www.hamachi.cc/

just what you wanted...

i personally like www.megaupload.com

I've used www.uploadR.com , also can shorten URL's

MediaMax gives you 25 GB of free space, but limits the upload and download file size to 10 MB at a time.

Or...

Up to 80 MB on a Thai server you get a link you can send to your friend and a link where you can delete the file afterwards. Zip, Audio, Pictures and Videos ares supported: www.yozzo.com/hothost and its FREE!

MediaFire is another good free one with no upload limits.

You can get a free Yahoo Briefcase account and allow multiple people access it. Upload your file and then your friend can download it.

Load up pcAnywhere on your machine and have friend do same. Either you can access his machine or him yours and transfer file. This assumes you are both on line at the same time and one person can pass the other his IP address.
