Billionaire Bloomberg to spend $100 million in Florida to help Biden

Maybe he figures that if Trump gets reelected 10's of millions of people won't be able to afford to go to hospitals. Unless of course, Trump finally produces that big beautiful health care plan he's been promising for almost 4 years now. The last time he promised that it would be released by August 1.

I am not political, but I suspect that among ordinary swing voters - the folks who voted for Obama twice but couldn't stomach Hillary - incidents such as the cops getting shot, businesses getting looted, and even seemingly trivial stuff such as those old people getting harassed in DC, may be more upsetting than the Democrats realize.

Even fairly non-technical people are getting to see this stuff online, so, it creates a sense of unreality when the Democrat convention and media ignore those details.

In May, I was pretty certain that Trump had no path to re-election, after being a near certainty in February due to the economy. In just a few short months, too many key factors had swung in the wrong direction and he was toast. In May, I realized it would take a miracle for him to turn this around, an absolute miracle.

That miracle was George Floyd's neck. What at first looked like yet another electoral torpedo turned out to be a liferaft for Trump as BLM, bouyed by the initiable surge of public support and corporate protection money, went insane and starting saying out loud the things they weren't meant to say.

Then the Democrats joined the insanity by holding a national convention that did not once mention the riots which most potential voters were fully aware of. Then they embraced Jacob Blake, a man who had sexually molested his estranged wife the very morning he was shot. All of this is alarming regular folks outside the media bubble. I have never seen public sentiment shift as fast as it has against BLM over the past few months. I'm guessing the current protests, chanting "All pigs must die" outside the hospital where the police deputies shot earlier are in serious condition, won't help either.

I'm genuinely curious to know if the Biden supporters here are aware that this perceptual gap between you and public could be a problem, possibly blowing what should be a sure thing.

Your "Trump leaning" rhetoric can't hide the fact that all this rioting and lawlessness is happening on Trump's watch.  Trump can't claim to fix something later that he clearly can't fix now.  Most fair-minded Americans can see that with their own eyes.

Got to love Trump supporters having issues with confused crazy rants. Somehow Trump's version of such is received as poetry, or some mystical message that needs to be interpreted. And nice choice of source there - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_News_Australia#Criticism_and_controversies

The problem with that is that the dems are desperate to get people to vote by mail before the debates. So a slow Joe melt down might be of no use. In the future it needs to be vote via smartphone and vote can be changed right until the second the polls close.

Either way the election is going to be contested. The dems don't seem to be so sure in the polls themselves. If they were they wouldn't want the mail in voting and secure a clean win. They may think they have a chance but once again are taking out insurance.

Hail to Cryingdick who knows the Democrats so well Joking, she doesn't have much intuition and is dead on trump supporter. Knows that the results will be contested, even. Most all supporters now are caving with despair They realize trump is losing and worst of all he has no money and will never spend a dime of his wealth. Come Election Day I get to choose a new avatar for her I am excited.

Which is why he's running on a program to increase taxes on the 1 %? In politics, follow the money. It's obvious that if anyone is a shill for the 1 percent, it's Trump.

Was not aware he had any program.  Dream on taking money from the rich.  It never works, and it never will work.  Almost all rich people own companies, and they only pay themselves what they need.  The company handles the rest.  That and they have ex IRS attorneys working for them who know the 7000 page tax code.  I thought all those in Hollywood, Silicon Valley and Wall street hated Trump.  Isn't that just about all the wealthy people in the US?  If the wealthy do pay more, it will be voluntary.  Your statement would make me want to vote for Trump.

I just hope he will get checked up for all he has been accused for after he is removed from the presidential chair. Hopefully the American people will revoke his nationality and deport him to Mexico. Then all the Mexicans can show him how much they love him.

It shows what a sham democracy is. If people were really rational agents, capable of independently looking at issues and making a decision, no one would spend big money to change their minds, and there wouldn't be worries about "fake news".

People need handy labels. On a trip to Turkey, three locals (yeah, I know, but in a famous tourist place) had trouble figuring where the Mrs. was from. Finally, the brightest got it - "Taiwanland! Tsunami! Sex shop!".

Cancelling me does not make your argument that much more credible.  What makes you so clued in?

Here are the five U.S. cities with the most UHNW individuals:

  • New York City: 8,980.
  • Los Angeles: 5,295.
  • Chicago: 3,350.
  • San Francisco: 2,925.
  • Washington, D.C.: 2,7851

Okay, who likes Trump on this list?   This is where the super donors live that every Democrat needs to win an election, but Bernie Sanders.  Bern had the greatest grassroots support in recent history.

Ultra High Net worth = UHNW.

Even many liberals are not excited about Biden.  The country needed a Tulsi Gabbard.   If Joe picked Tulsi, he, though he is a lame duck, would garner more support from Libertarians and Republicans.  But what did DNC do, labelled her a tool of Russia, because she is against war.

Harris a tool of russia while the Trump campaign is in cohorts with putin. Please stop with this nonsense.

True, many liberals are not exited about Biden because he is too centrist. He is getting plenty of Republican support, Harris was needed for the more liberal wing of the Democrats.

Yup, if Tulsi Gabbard got on the ticket, they’d win handily.  Even I would vote for them.

We could argue about who's worse. I feel that adding Trump's style and lies it's no contest. Biden's gaffs are mostly harmless, and what's more he is usually able to accept them and even laugh about it. Trump and his fans need to stand behind each and every 'covfefe'.

As for the age thing, assuming he is reelected and survives his second term, Trump would hit 77 as well. What was your point again?

I don't know that the off-chance to win some swing voter, moderate Republican and independent votes is worthwhile vs. securing Democrat votes. Gabbard was not popular, to put it mildly. And also, given posting history, kinda doubt you'd actually vote Democrat even if she was on the ticket.

Not aware of any figures supporting your take, by the way.

Harris got her back side handed to her by Tulsi.  Harris was never accused of being a tool of Russia.  Trump's collaboration with Russia to win the presidency has yet to be proven.   Harris a liberal?  How?  "In 2010, she opposed Proposition 19, a state initiative to legalize and tax marijuana for adults over 21,"

With regards to the $100 million, another way of looking at is that Bloomberg thinks Biden needs $100 million worth of help in Florida.

As I have seen no boat parades or hundreds of Latinos in cars supporting Biden, who knows, maybe Biden really does need that much help.

No, it is not irrelevant, it provides clarity on his complete disregard for suppliers / creditors. If you want to beat trump's drum show where trump has compensated his unsecured creditors once he regained wealth. In the meantime, trump's lack of character has been demonstrated numerous times with various fraudulent activities. Yes, I know he hasn't been jailed, pays large amounts to his lawyers, settles out of Court etc. If it was a guy cheating someone for $10k he would have served time, but for the wealthy...

Not been jailed yet. LOCK HIM UP could happen sooner rather than later. He will be losing Teflon Don coating if the pols hold true.

You'd have to work harder than that to make the claim that he's on par with Trump on this department.
