 Many of his most vocal critics around the Chinese Flu are the same ones which called him racist earlier in the year for suggesting that they close flights to China and which said the WHO showed no evidence of it being dangerous....

Unfortunately these days they will find literally any reason to blame him for something - regardless of the facts. When the media gets their weekly buzzword it's a sight to behold how coordinated each and every outlet seems to be with stuffing it in every key sentence, and then it's just a matter of repeating it over and over again to make it truth.

Maybe it's a scam, maybe not. I'm just saying that issues regarding the way his campaign spends funds were discussed last time around, and we all know how that went. I hope that the election results would make an investigation such as this possible. Kinda doubt it'll happen (or if anything will come out of it) if he wins again.

It's the thief sounding the alarm, or the robber calling 911. ie Trump M.O (modus operandi, or mode of operation in case someone wonders).  Trump declares "Mail in voting is rife with fraud" without mentioning that the fraud would likely come from his party, that's one check for dishonesty, ie lying by omission. In the same token, "voting for Biden will bring chaos" and at the same time Trump himself inciting hatred and division. The wise think you can fool some people some time, the fool think you can fool all people all the time. Trump and his supporters belong in the latter category because they believe they are living in a world of fools.

In May, I was pretty certain that Trump had no path to re-election, after being a near certainty in February due to the economy. In just a few short months, too many key factors had swung in the wrong direction and he was toast. In May, I realized it would take a miracle for him to turn this around, an absolute miracle.

That miracle was George Floyd's neck. What at first looked like yet another electoral torpedo turned out to be a liferaft for Trump as BLM, bouyed by the initiable surge of public support and corporate protection money, went insane and starting saying out loud the things they weren't meant to say.

Then the Democrats joined the insanity by holding a national convention that did not once mention the riots which most potential voters were fully aware of. Then they embraced Jacob Blake, a man who had sexually molested his estranged wife the very morning he was shot. All of this is alarming regular folks outside the media bubble. I have never seen public sentiment shift as fast as it has against BLM over the past few months. I'm guessing the current protests, chanting "All pigs must die" outside the hospital where the police deputies shot earlier are in serious condition, won't help either.

I'm genuinely curious to know if the Biden supporters here are aware that this perceptual gap between you and public could be a problem, possibly blowing what should be a sure thing.

You will not find any quote from Pelosi or Biden mentioning the CHINA travel ban, nor saying that the WHO showed no evidence etc....

“The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”

In any case, Trump mischaracterized and exaggerated what Pelosi said and falsely claimed a video of Pelosi mingling with the Chinatown crowd. There was no such video. He lied again.

Pelosi did not go to Chinatown to protest his decision. She went there because people were afraid to go there although there was no coronavirus in Chinatown at that time. Pelosi and Biden called Trump a racist many times over the years, in particular because of his statements about immigrants and the so-called Muslim travel bans (including the last one on Jan. 31). As I wrote before, if you want to find a quote mentioning the CHINA travel ban, good luck to you!

 

Trump was right to implement travel restrictions, but his claim that he courageously decided it against the opinion of everyone else is false. There was no particular opposition to it in the US, and around 50 other countries implemented a travel ban at about the same time or before
